Ok so this isn't a new addition to the actual collection however it is still relevant because this big guy will house many pieces and centralize a lot of what I own. I picked this case up on Friday afternoon for $100!
Spoiler:
This thing stands 7 ft tall, 6 ft wide, and 20 in deep. My other upright case is 7 ft by 4 ft by 18 deep. This extra space will be great BUT I won't be setting it up soon. Alas I'm moving in 10 months and this thing is so large that the hassle to set it up, all my statues, and then break it all down again just isn't worth it to me. You'll see it all in a year completed but I was just so excited to post it because of the price I got it for!

Thats awesome!!! I am big into display cases...to me how you display your collection is just as important as the collection itself.
My only concern....is please be careful with those glass shelves!! Don't put too much weight on them. I would hate to see broken statues. They do look pretty thick, but I never trust glass shelves with statues......but goodluck!

I also get concerned about this however I will probably use this cabinet for all my vintage stuff and my smaller upright display will be for statues. If I do that there will be less stress on the glass.

Wow! This is more than a collection - it's pretty much a legit TMNT museum! I'm floored. Very, very cool.
I must ask about the four prints on the closet doors. Did you have those made yourself, or were they for sale at one point? Last edited by Bry; 08-19-2013 at 08:02 AM. |

You probably wouldn't be surprised to hear that I've been asked this before. My office used to have a print lab and I made these guys myself.

Ha! I'm sure you have - they're super nice. Might have to steal your idea one day if I get some more wall space in the home office.

And I found this beauty in the mail today. Another cel for my collection. This is the first one I have featuring the turtle van. It's not what was advertised in the auction but this one is actually nicer.

I gotta say your collection is truly, truly awesome! I actually stumbled upon the Technodrome forum for the first time when I google searched Moo Mesa Animation Cel... And it took me to this thread! I had been looking for Moo Mesa animation cels for a bit. I recently won one on ebay- had some competition, but sniped it at the last minute.
Just wanted to give you major props for your glorious collection of very awesome TMNT merch. |

I was hoping to add a second to my collection but I'm never upset knowing it found a home in a fellow dromers hands. My one makes me happy. In any case the same stuff happens to me with all my dinosaucers cels. I actively look for those and my random google searches always bring up my thread! Thanks for the comments guys. No huge updates for a while because I'm saving / spending cash for my wedding.

Not all of these things are TMNT related however all still great additions to my collection. I hope not only to post what I got but tell a story thru my pictures of what my weekend was.
