Windows 10 S?

Does anyone know anything about this? Will this be for desktop computers as well?

It seems to be an attempt by Microsoft to compete with Chrome OS. It apparently only runs stuff from Microsoft's App Store. It also forces people to use Edge and Bing by default.

Well that's just horrible design.
Especially considering the brilliance of the touch screen that I'd really like to have to replace both my Mac and Cintiq. But I think in order to have that for graphic design, I'd probably be using something like a Dell anyway, but it doesn't have the detachable screen.

I have Windows 10 on my Acer computer right now, but I don't think it's the 10 S version and just the original version.

Same here. Mine had Vista originally and I upgraded it to 10 when they had the free upgrade thing when they stopped supporting Vista. I honestly like Vista better but didn't have much choice if I still wanted to use my net. And 10 already forces you to use Bing by default anyway. Hate that. Still can't figure out how to switch it back. Thing is so NOT user-friendly!

I also had Vista with my Gateway, but since I had to get a new computer, I had to have Windows 10 on it. So far, no major problems and I use Google for my search since I have Internet Explorer. What browser do you use, Duckie?

It automatically switched me to Chrome and Bing when I upgraded. I HAD been using IE and Google with Vista but like I said it forced me to use Bing and I STILL don't know how to change it back as when I try to change the defaults it does nothing. Worst programming decision ever!

Ah, I see. Maybe you should take it to Best Buy and see if they will get it back for you.

There is not one near me. Or any computer tech place really. Even if there was, I'd have to find a way to get it there without a car. I guess I could call an IT support number but I don't have time to spend hours on the phone.
