Inhumans movie possibly canceled by Marvel Studios
According to a post from bleedingcool.com, Marvel Studios has canceled the Inhumans movie, there has been some bad blood going on between Kevin Feige and Marvel CEO Isaac Perlmutter.

Really hoping this isn't the case. I really want to see Black Bolt in action.

Maybe if they don't make the movie, they could still use the characters in the show?

I would not be that gutted if this is the case. The more integrated the movies are with Agents of Shield the weaker the movies will be. Agents of Shield is just straight up awful.

I wouldn't care. If anything, it would save me from having to watch ~6 seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I mean, I know it's gotten way better from the first half of Season 1, but still... I can only regularly watch so many shows.
Besides... Guardians of the Galaxy is as far as I go in strangeness. Rocket Raccoon and Groot are awesome. But the teleporting bulldog and all the other weirdos don't appeal to me at all. Only Black Bolt and Medusa seem marketable to me.

Aren't the Inhumans just ripoffs of the X-men? Teens with superpowers who don't know how to control them and are shunned by humans?
What's the difference? |

There has always been bad blood between Marvel Studios with the TV division, Marvel Studios was trying to do there own thing, but the TV execs insisted on making shows set in the MCU.
Its the reason why Joss Whedon wanted Agent Coulsen to stay dead in the movies, but the TV execs wanted him on the TV shows. |

That report is complete BS. For whatever reason Bleeding Cool has been anti-Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios for a while. Seems like they're buddy buddy with someone at Marvel TV.
I bet Adam McKay writes and directs the Inhumans movie. Marvel has wanted him to direct a movie for a while. Last edited by NinjaPug; 10-09-2015 at 08:15 PM. |

Spoken like someone who obviously doesn't know jack about the Inhumans. You are sooo way off base. How about reading an actual comic before making these ridiculous assumptions?

My only experience with the Inhumans has been through the Fantastic Four and I found them to be incredibly dull characters. Now I think they're supposed to be X-Men type characters, I only know this because it's what website headlines and forum goers post about and compare them to.

Inhumans have been around just as long as X-Men, and they're both Marvel. So it's hard to call it a ripoff.

For starters, Mutants in the Marvel universe are basically humans who are born with the X-Gene in them, whose powers manifest as teenagers. Inhumans, on the other hand, are a genetically altered race created by the Kree millions of years ago when they visted Earth during the prehistoric age and experimented on cavemen via the Terrigen Mist. Chronologically speaking, they existed before Mutants even appeared . And the core Inhumans are not "Teens with superpowers who don't know how to control them" as CyberCubed wrongly put them: First, you have Black Bolt (King of the Inhuman race), Medusa (Black Bolt's wife), Crystal (Medusa's sister and former girlfriend of the Human Torch and wife of Quicksilver), Lock Jaw, Triton, Karnak, Gorgon, and so on.

In the comics now, Black Bolt and Medusa are on the rocks and Medusa is having an affair with Johnny

Huh, that I did not know. Truth be told I've rarely kept up with events occurring in Marvel comics these days and instead been reading and making my way through the early issues from the Silver Age.

So apparently the news of the Inhumans movie's cancellation is in dispute...
http://screenrant.com/marvel-inhuman...lation-rumors/ Funny thing is, I can totally see it going either way given Marvel's far-reaching plans as well as the cold war between the TV series and the movies. 2019 is a long way away...

Machete don't text, and CyberCubed don't comic book.
