Someone who knows the video games better than I do maybe can answer this question. In the final fight with Krang, I believe all his weapons where from various video games. He has a mace at the end of his arm, which I know he has used on the FW cartoon, he then uses some sort of laser, sound wave type canon on his chest, and then he grabs Mikey and squeezes him to his chest and says "let me give you a hug!" Isn't that from a video game?

I pose to the jury: animal, mineral... or...

You're in the minority there.

Pretty cheesy looking comps.

Apparently TMNT 2 is an Anti-Trump movie according to the writers

Definatly way better than the previous one. I like how Casey is depicted in it (he's not a vigilante nutjob for once and has an actual job!) and liked Krang's voice.

The explination of Rocksteady and Bebop's mutations tho reminded me of the TNG ep where everyone was de-evolving. That's essentially what the purple ooze did. It de-evolved them into their animalistic ancestors (a Rhino and a Warthog...no weirder than Data's cat turning into a lizard or Barclay turning into a spider). So another dose I guess would have an opposite effect and turn them back into humans?

It's kind of a reboot of the 2014 reboot, in a way.
Josh Appelbaum: It is.

One thing I loved about this movie was Leonardo. Everything about him was ON-POINT. So glad they ditched Knoxville too.

yeah that caught me off guard at first, it it was an interesting way to approach the animal/human mutation process.

yeah! the voice was definitely a really good fit!
if they used the voice from the classic cartoon it would have been silly.

even when i read General Krang in the IDW comics i never heard Pat Fraley in my head. i always imagined a far more sinister (almost demonic sounding) voice.

yeah, it was definitely a perfect portrayal of Leo!

loved when Raph was confronting him but Leo just continued practicing his Kata.

You give me hope. From certain little bits in trailers I've been thinking this film may be aiming right for my achilles heel. Been saying to myself since back when they green lit the sequel that they better do right by him (and the others) this time. If they've managed that then I'm probably doomed to go a bit easier on this one... (No willful blindness though. Critiquing flaws only helps them be able to see room to improve.)

I wouldn't say it was perfect, but it's nothing to worry about, Indigo. He comes on a bit strong in certain parts, not unlike in TMNT, but is otherwise just fine, if perhaps lacking a sense of urgency at times IMO. Pete did a very nice job.
