Eric Talbot artwork
What’s everyone’s take on Eric Talbots art? He seems to be one of the more elusive Mirage artists to get in touch with, his style and paint work is phenomenal in my opinion. More interesting is how his style has change much like Lawson’s over the years, would love to see him work with IDW in some capacity if not for only a variant cover. The guy is a legend!

His art has a constant horror theme to it, like it's very dark and brooding. It's like Halloween all the time.

Not that that’s a bad thing. I mean if I was a mutated ninja living in the sewer I think I’d be pretty dark and brooding much of the time. Now here’s a challenge, find a piece of Talbot turtle art where a turtle is smiling or at least smirking. I’ll wait.

I prefer his older style, but he definitely has a distinct style.

That Halloween drawing is dated back to the early 1990's, so I guess it would count as his older style.

He’s not too elusive if you go to conventions on the east coast. I’ve met him over a dozen times at this point (he even gets his weekly comics at the same shop I do!). Super nice guy and often willing to give a quick turtle headsketch at cons.

I loved his art in Mirage issue 17. The paint like splashy inks and such are awesome.
