I was hoping for better articulation with the scaled down size, but it seems like it's the same

This is super cool, but not a game changing jaw dropper exclusive...

Not only the same articulation, it seems also that the bandana tails are plastic.

Also based on the boxcover; Mike's nunchuncks must be (officially) stored still at the sides instead of his backshell

Finally better quality ! Looks like mikey head is different, maybe a bit more closed and other heads are scaled down as well + sculpts are scaled down but im wondering about donnie pose on box. i hope this is how far his knees bend and they didnt just pop them out for pose.
Anyway its weird to see people "disappointed" with them, not sure what the hell is going on, people its henson 7 inch turtles , we will get them finally and yet people always find reasons to complain too many expectations and entitlement to how they should be delivered and when, i believe they are doing the best they can as company to make $ and please fans and im super happy about these.
Guys i enlarged and upped gamma on pic to see their knee joins, they are different ! Looks like double hinge joint peg is visible!
!/4 scale dont have it , also i think this first donnie proto from 2016 had it + was with rubber bandana

Don't get me wrong they look great, but I have the 1/4 scale ones, so to me they seem a bit inferior.

It would be nice to see something different... It's almost exactly the same but smaller. Even the heads are the same - (maybe they come with multible?) - so lazy. And yeah, for me they are unnecessary and inferior to the 1:4 versions.

I just can't understand why people are so excited about these after such a long time of waiting for the NECA TMNT line. It's so underwhelming.

A well, it I'll be me I guess...

I would love toe articulation , double hinge on elbows/knees and bicep swivel but im grateful that they even exist , 28 years of waiting.
I want 4 of them , cant buy all big ones now, i travel quite a bit.
We all have our reasons, i complained about eastmans latest turtle designs, well... henson turtles just have special place in my heart, especially from 1st movie. These are like my most wanted figures i can imagine.

I respect that.

The Henson Turtles designs (first movie only) have a special place in my heart but my personal favorite designs are the Sideshow 2017 statues on the sewer bases. I like realism and they're so realistic

I have a feeling the way NECA are hyping this up there may be more to the set than just the 4 Turtle figures...I mean I could be wrong but the impression I get is that this is something more than we are expecting. I still think there's a surprise in store.

I suspect there might be diorama in the box with them.
Was it super hard to buy exclusive tmnt last year on neca store ? Did they sold out quickly or they were available for a couple of days ?

They do look cool. But at the same, the articulation is NECA, I mean it's not Revoltech or S.H Figuarts. Still, nice

Yeah, they seem to be the 1/4th scale just in a smaller size. Not a horrible idea and it's cool for an exclusive, but a box set with the Shredder and the Foot Soldiers would've been a really cool full figure set.

That being said, hopefully more news comes out about the 1/4th scale Shredder ... that's my most hyped figure right now.

You guys were correct! There is more.

"Like they say on TV - but wait there's more!! The TMNT set will be offered 2 ways! The boxed set of 4 for $125 or the boxed set of 4 bundled with a Movie Street Scene Diorama for $250!! #tmnt #SDCC"

Still a disappointment for me personally. How NECA runs their business annoys me. I know they need to make money, but I feel like they sometimes they purposefully put out "less desirable" versions of a product, to put out more desired versions later, to milk the use out of a mold. Video game before cartoon, normal Raph then disguise Raph, quarter scale then 7" scale.

Wow, that's neat. Diorama's super cool, but I'm way more comfortable with the cheaper option. Glad there is one. Can't wait for these!!! Finally!

I think theres no ankle pivots, there are double hinge elbows and knees.
--
Ooops i think im wrong, there are ankle pivots but poses are a bit unfinished , heres donnie using his ankle pivot better
So theres 5000 of figures only and 2000 of figures with dio

So a second part was just announced, you can buy the 4 figures along with a diorama for 250. or just the 4 figures for 125.

not bad actually. the diorama looks nice, but with the 4 turtles, it looks a bit lonely. need more characters.
