Short Kevin Eastman Clip from SDCC 11 Shows Off Sketchbook

Hey guys!

Found this while looking up news from SDCC! I thought it was cool to see some of his production art from the new IDW book!

I wanted to reach through the screen get a closer look at those sketches so bad!

Eastman's layouts could totally be marketed as their own version of the issues...my gosh those are very detailed, and almost completely finished drawings.

The guy's layouts are amazing - mad detailed and dynamic. I'm totally stoked that he's doing the layouts for this book...

Oh, I meant to say: Having never met the man, he really comes off as an all round top bloke! Real friendly and down to earth.

Well, that's true. I have no personal desire to ever meet Peter. But I thought it was a pretty well-known thing that Kevin was cool.

Am I the only one who was relieved to hear what he was saying about the movie script and where it's heading?

Well I wasn't relieved, but I guess that's cause I'm loose about it. I'm happy with whatever direction they take, as long as the characters are true to whatever version they're based on. But as far as it being dark, I'd like that, but I can't count on it happening. With all the new scripts and everything, not even the word of an insider like Kevin can assure me.

I love this clip, merely for the fact that I WANT A KEVIN EASTMAN DRAWN ISSUE!!!

IDW should seriously work it out so he can draw a special.

I was most excited to hear the news about the movie...it could be that I'm being too optimistic, but here's hoping to a dark gritty movie...

I saw a picture he drew of Venus on Deviant Art. I usually don't keep up with such things but it surprised me. Considering all I heard about them not liking that character.

I'd love something along the lines of IDW TMNT #1: Rough Cut. His storyboards look even more detailed than what he did for Bodycount.

Peter is the one who hates her. Kevin was actualy the one who created her as Next Mutation was mostly his thing and she was a replacement of sorts for April. The confusion is understandable as at the time the word was she was created and forced on them against their wishes by Fox.

Now let us never speak of her again.
