Hi everyone,
We're lowering the price for a regular copy of TMNT Odyssey to $35 (for US addresses; +$5 CAN; +$10 INTL). Price includes shipping so if you were waiting to buy one now's a good chance. And no, this is not an April Fools joke. Some of you have asked me about getting a reading copy. Well, a few copies got damaged in transit and so that provides a few additional purchase options as follows. Let me know if you want any of these damaged books...only limited supplies remain. - Minor cover corner damage ($5 discount) - More extensive cover creases ($10 discount) - More heavily damaged cover and interior pages ($20 discount) Send me an email to tmntodyssey@hotmail.com with your preference as well as your mailing address. I'll send you a link for payment. Thanks! -rich |

Apparently mine turned up today. I shall collect and unpack tomorrow when I visit my folks. Let's hope it hasn't been skewered...!
(Rich will know what I mean there!)

Many thanks for putting this together Rich, and yes the artwork survived
(although I now see what you meant about the creases in the Farley piece, it was still easily worth the money however!)

I wish I had not been too late for the Donnie Cyborg and Baxter pin-up .
The three of them are very nice to look at anyway. |

Yeah, I was going to ask about the back cover for Odyssey, and whether that one was going to be available or not at some point.

Which comics/volumes/story arcs do I need to know to fully understand "Odyssey"?

When I first read it, I knew that various iterations of the turtles existed and my background only partly covered the Mirage Universe.
In spite of this limited knowledge, I enjoyed it a lot. I would say the minimum would be to be aware of the Mirage future era. |

By Mirage future era I meant the stories set in the future where you see older turtles, usually each of them on their own: one-eyed Raph surviving in a swamp/forest, Donnie as a wise elder in Japan, Leo and his technologic katana... These stories were to be read mostly in Tales vol.2 and as back-up stories (as early as 1988 in Puma Blues #20). Mirage future era is depicted as rather depressing with notably the turtles not being together anymore. Mark wrote a very good article about it: http://tmntentity.blogspot.fr/2010/0...of-mirage.html |

Though plenty of people familiar with this or that are rewarded at times. Only thing I don't necessarily take as gospel is the inclusion of the Old Raph in the Christmas Carol story as part of the firm future canon. That never struck me as "real," more of a cautionary glimpse and less "we just time-traveled to the future and this is gonna be you, Raphael." Even though it did pretty much turn out to be him.
