CW Crisis of Infinite Earths 2019

The CW's Elseworlds crossover event finished up tonight, but we now know what's coming for the network's stable of DC Comics characters next year!

In the prologue, we see Batwoman contact Oliver Queen to let him know that Deegan has "made a new friend." We then cut to the deformed Doctor and Psycho Pirate in the cell next to him, who proclaims that "worlds will live, worlds will die, and the universe will never be the same."

In the comics, The Crises on Infinite Earths began when The Anti-Monitor decided to erase all life in the universe, bringing together heroes and villains from each earth to combat the threat.

Though the small-screen adaptation will almost certainly take a few liberties with the source material, Psycho Pirate is clearly going to play a pivotal role.

yeah that might be the case since Supergirl is on a different earth, which would be nice. I don't know what other shows aren't on the arrowverse earth, maybe black lightning. Idk, i don't watch it.

Good thing they introduced the idea of alternate multiverses so they can get away with that without compromising the comics 52 worlds all over again

I always wondered why they settled on 52 worlds after Infinite Crisis.

Other than the weekly fallout maxi-series covering an entire year, 52 just seems like such a random number. And 52 the series hardly touched on the New Multiverse at all until the end.

I'unno. It's weird.

If that is why they put them all on different earths in the first place, then yeah, adding up to this would make sense. I never understood the whole 'you'd ask where super girl is when the flash has a big problem' thing they started off with.

I watched this "documentary" on the Arrowverse and while it spends 5 minutes over how diverse and inclusive the Arroverse is, they did a good job with it. The Arrowverse is mediocre in many points and overstays its welcome in some storylines, too much content put out every year but overall it still delivers cool moments and it's the DCEU we deserved. I'm going to get back to watching all of the arrowverse, I stopped after the fourth year so I'm 3 years behind and many episodes behind with so many shows now but we have a great universe that even compares with the MCU in terms of world building and interconnectivity and cool moments.

Because infinite worlds is too many and they finally decided that 1 was too few in the years between COIE and Infinite Crisis.

that's alot of what the other shows seem to care about these days.

Somehow, the Flash has managed to escape most of that political crap, and is one reason why I still have fun watching it.

Hell, they even have a whole campaign add 'dare to defy'...as if that makes them better than everyone else somehow.

I gotta start watching this tonight, I'm told it isn't as good as last years but that's always down to opinion. I only watch Arrow but catch the others in these crossovers.
