Doubtful anything weird in the teaser makes it into the show as a plot point.

The Beano is the same one Matt Smith read in Rings of Akaten btw

Moffat era set designer Micheal Pickwoad has died at the age of 73. Among other things, he was responsible for the designs of the second Matt Smith console room and Capladi's version

Still not excited for this season. marketing has been crap. 2 40 second trailers that show nothing.

Capaldi's first season had better marketing than this one.

Apparently the scripts for the new series were all written under the belief The Doctor was still a man, and that the writers didn't know it was Jodie until the reveal a year ago. Also, Chibnall teases that we'll be getting pure historical episodes

I think I'll be watching this on the streaming service this year. The change of time slot in the UK has caused some issues with the ABC's programming, so I don't know when it's airing. It's an end of an era in a weird way because Doctor Who was the last television program I actually watched on terrestrial TV.

Information on Episodes One and Two

"The Woman Who Fell To Earth"

Quote:
"We don't get aliens in Sheffield." In a South Yorkshire city, Ryan Sinclair, Yasmin Khan and Graham O'Brien are about to have their lives changed forever, as a mysterious woman, unable to remember her own name, falls from the night sky. Can they believe a word she says? And can she help solve the strange events taking place across the city?

The episode – written by Chris Chibnall and directed by Jamie Childs – will feature guest appearances from Sharon D Clarke, Johnny Dixon and Samuel Oatley.
"The Ghost Monument"

Quote:
Still reeling from their first encounter, can the Doctor and her new friends stay alive long enough, in a hostile alien environment , to solve the mystery of Desolation? And just who are Angstrom and Epzo?

Along with the previously-revealed Shaun Dooley, 'The Ghost Monument' will also feature Art Malik (The Jewel in the Crown, Holby City) and Susan Lynch (Save Me, Killing Eve). Chibnall's again on scripting duties, with direction from Mark Tonderai.

For anyone starved for Missy...she's getting her own audio only spin-off

https://www.bigfinish.com/news/v/missy-returns

Episode One starts a "little differently" and may not have titles or theme music

http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/doctor-...die-whittaker/

From Doctor Who Magazine:

-Chibnall says their main priority is achieving ratings on Live+7 and Live+28 formats, not direct live overnights. He admits he doesn't normally watch television live.

-The Vortex Manipulator is definitely in it, or at least gets mentioned a lot by Jodie.

-Chibnall will ground the show in a relatable reality
