No arguements please I don't want my thread locked

I thought I do a thread for this as the awards season is coming up and TMNT is up on the shortlist for Golden Raspberry awards.

The score for TMNT is up contention for the Oscars but it's got to beat 114 other movie scores

I can see the movie go up for Worst Screenplay or Worst Director.

Megan was terrible, but not entertainingly bad throughout the movie, so I don't think she'd deserve Worst Supporting Actress, she isn't good enough to get an award, and she isn't bad enough to get an award in my opinion.

Crap acting. She over-stayed her welcome. Basically, mediocre acting and WAY to much Fox.

Worst everything basically. I didn't think Megan was that bad, it's just that she fell victim to the usual Bay shlock where they movie is more about the human characters than the title characters.

I imagine if they made a Thundercats movie, they'll somehow make it take place on Earth so the movie is more about little Johnny trying to admit his love for little Susie.... and oh yeah... Lion-O is in it. Sorta. And Cheetara bends over a lot.

Oh also nominated for Movie that caused a TMNT forum to be locked.

Screw the Razzies TF 4 & TMNT aren't that bad. People just get off wanking/bitching about Bay. Bay isn't the only film guy to "destroy franchises.

Who's talking about Bay? Both movies sucked, it just so happens that the same dude was behind both. It woulda sucked either way. TMNT was horrible and TF4 was BORING and easily one hour too long.

And well... he did destroy at least both of these franchises. What can you really do about it? Fans shouldn't have to just 'shut up and accept' the crap they're given. That's just dumb.

Agreed. Sadly PD decided to do it the Bay way even when he's not the one behind the helm. But that just adds to all the other problems.

honestly if turtles was nominated and won razzies....and they accepted the awards with dignity and understanding as to why they won them...i would have more respect for the crew


what was once a joke "you made an awful movie award" is yes still a joke and an admired joke

yes no one aims for a razzie award...in all honesty movies dont want one...but ive seen many actors, BTS, directors,etc accept this award...with full understanding why the movie they made received it and why they deserve it


sadly i doubt they will be the cause here, as bay and co seem to be on the blame game of "Its the fans faults"

Based on how they're acting they'll most likely be confused as to why their masterpiece was even considered for the razzies.

This year's Transformers film was MUCH worse than TMNT.

And it's fashionable for the internet to pile on hate for Cameron's Saving Christmas movie, so I expect that one will win the Razzie for Worst Picture.

It is odd Fox is in the category for supporting actress since it really was her character's movie.

Likewise, I'd seen she wasn't listed for worst actress, figured people didn't think she was that bad... then laughed at "worst supporting actress."

Really, beyond the acting that is a good fit in an off kilter way. She was supposed to be a supporting character, but wasn't, thus bad at the job of being supporting actress.


Bay might not be the only film maker to destroy franchises, but that's not exactly a club to aim to be in. Not like others would get away with it pain free either. lol

As much as I'd like to see TMNT sweep the awards they're nominated for, I don't see it happening with how terrible I've heard Saving Christmas is. Never mind Transformers 4 is tough competition considering I've seen it mentioned on multiple worst of lists and TMNT surprisingly hasn't.

On a related note, if Megan "wins" and calls TMNT a "Piece of sh*t god-awful movie" the way Halle did for "Catwoman", I promise I'll take back every bad thing I ever said about her.
