It won't come from the visual effects department either!

It's really just not true. He was nominated for awards well before Brokeback. There's a difference between not exclusively being in Oscar bait when you're young and having no discernible acting skills other than pouting, sticking your chest out, and fainting.

So the shot of Shredder's blades coming out and maybe a half second more of Michelangelo and Donatello and the rest is old footage?
Hilarious ain't it?

Compared to the Turtle's usual height yeah that's overly tall.

That clip of Shredder is so disappointing. It's dumb on so many levels like mecha-Rhino and mecha-Silver Samurai.

I think ILM does a great job with all of the movies they work on. The graphics are top notch, even though they're probably unfinished.

All of them have nothing at all to do with how Shredder should be portrayed.

I don't want to hear Iron Man and Mecha Rhino in the same sentence describing Shredder.

I have no problem with mecha suits in general. It has nothing to do with them moving well on screen. It's the idiocy of what they design the suits to do. A mecha suit like the Shredder with ridiculous amount of blades is a dumb weapon choice for a mecha suit. Mecha-Rhino in ASM2 had missiles and firepower out the wazoo, but still charges into battle like a think just because he has to do something similar to what his comic counterpart. Who's going to design a suit like that just to have the wearer charge into battle for melee?

Iron Man and the subsequent suits designed like it make sense from a design perspective.

I'm honestly just really pissed off at whoever is making marketing decisions. They have this tv spot cut up already but won't release it online? My first viewing shouldn't look like it was taken in World War 2.

Seduced by promises of wealth and power, Aleksei underwent a life-threatening series of chemical and radiation treatments throughout several months to transform him into an agent with superhuman strength for a collective of professional spies. In part, this was to support his family.

Aleksei's powerful armor, permanently bonded to his form, was modeled after the hide of a rhinoceros.

That comic Mecha-Rhino is makes far more sense than the dumb suit we got in the movie, but that film was incredibly disappointing to begin with.

Mecha-Rhino from ASM2 is nothing like the Mecha-Rhino from the comic, though. That's a pretty far jump in interpretation. One I found incredibly dumb.

Still the Inspiration He wanted a more grounded look even talked with military contractors and based this mech off of real world designs check the other concept art its all over the internet, they rang from bigger more tank looking designs to the more "traditional" skin armor.

I love that you're comparing ASM2 Rhino to this movie's Shredder as far as adaptation goes.

Let's REALLY compare shall we?

Rhino:
Name in original media? Aleksei Sytsevich
Name in movie? Aleksei Sytsevich

Nationality in original media? Russia
Nationality of Origin in movie? Russia

Occupation in original media? Criminal and mobster
Occupation in movie? Criminal and mobster

Supervillainy in the original media? Big Rhino suit
Supervillainy in the movie? Big mechanical Rhino suit

Shredder:
Name in original media? Oroku Saki
Name in movie? Eric Sachs

Ethnicity in original media? Asian
Ethnicity in movie? White

Nationality in original media? Japanese
Nationality in movie? American

Occupation in original media? Leader of the Foot Clan
Occupation in media? Businessman of some kind

Supervillainy in original media? ninja leader of Foot Clan
Supervillainy in movie? Evil businessman leading black ops group

Hmm.
