I'm guessing you're not a big fan of them, since you're sharing cracked comcis that poke fun at it?

Well, to be fair, Seanbaby makes everything better, anyway.

But yeah they're kinda crappy.

Seanbaby was like a pre-youtube AVGN of some sort. Not exactly the same, but a similar concept to some degree. Had no idea he wrote those comics, though. I only know him for writing funny reviews of NES games and such.

There's FOUR of them. It's not complicated, they're idiots.

I haven't watched Scooby-Doo in like 30 years. Shaggy, Scooby, Daphne, Velma, and Fred. Wow, f*cking complicated.
Well I grew up watching Ghostbusters and had the toys but the only one I can name is Egon.

Find the contractor who painted your parents' bathroom with lead and sue him for all he's got then, sir. You may already be involved in a class-action lawsuit, check your mailbox.

Four characters isn't difficult to hang onto. Great googly-moogly.

Also... How freakin' old is Seanbaby? He's apparently been around a lot longer than I ever knew.

I dunno how long he's been around but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that he was already doing his stuff at least since 2002. No idea how old he might be but I'm gonna guess he's like 40 by now.

Probably.

He's also quite tall. His hair is ridiculous but I'd never tell him so.

Quite tall? You say that as if it's a bad thing. Unless you mean he's so tall in the "do you play basketball?" manner. If that's the case, then I can see it being a pain if you don't play basketball for a living.

He's tall enough that, were I to point out, as I'm sure others have, that he has some chick's beaver on his head, he'd probably be able to hang me from a basketball hoop without much effort.

I'm quite sure he's criminally insane and just getting by on charm. Thank goodness.

I dunno. Only know him from some NES reviews he wrote. Dunno anything else about him. I guess he's into punk rock or something?

For one thing, I didn't expect him to have a wiki page or something like that, so I didn't even bother. Nor did I care much either tbh. But I wasn't too far off. My hunch was 40, so I was only off for about 2 years.

It's not THAT old for a guy who«'s been around for seemingly forever, tbh. James Rolfe is only about 4 years or so younger than Seanbaby and he's been internet famous since 2006 already.

I'm talking to Prowler in like three tabs at once, I can't spare one for Seanbaby, guy.

But yeah, nah, he does stuff. Lots'a stuff. I haven't seen him talk about games in forever, I mostly see him do those comic book re-letterings. He shows up on Cracked, sometimes.

We all wish we knew specifically when, so we could avoid checking that crap shack the rest of the time. He's way too good for what they've become.

I guess Spider-Man was still popular, following the 2002 film.

Thanks for a good read to wake up to.

It might have something to do with separating fans from ones who never got out of it, fans who return for nostalgia, or those who jumped on the bandwagon because everyone else liked it and never really did. Leo656 seems to know a lot of the third category. I am guilty of being in the second category with Power Rangers. I stuck with it for five seasons and once the last of the originial six left I lost interest. I go back for glimpses of the original six with no interest in the current product or even recognizing replacement characters I watched because they suck since they are not the superior original six. Its nostalgia blinding goggles, but the truth is I know that and dont care. I can see parents who grew up a fan of the 1987 cartoon only interested in the cartoon they know for that reason. I will never like another TMNT iteration more than it either, but recognize and enjoy other TMNT iterations having never left fandom.

Among the fans, I recall many on this community growing up with Fred Wolf and then becoming 4 Kids fans by 2003.

Just check out older threads at this community. But avoid thread-bumping.

I dont know the fads outside the three 90s ones as I was apart of it. My guess is He-Man-TMNT-MMPR-Pokemon-Harry Potter.

However, comics in general were on the rise. I only read TMNT Adventures until lead up to Spider-Man. I bought the available Marvel Essentials at Universial Orlando Labor Day 2001 and Justice League debuted on Cartoon Network a month later. Both had a big build up and those two products got me into comics in general. Unfortunately the comics were not like the 90s cartooons, but I had decades of back issues to dig into and Batman would replace Pokemon as my secondary interest, which it is to this day.

I don't think He-Man 2002 was bigger than TMNT 2003 (and Justice League 2001 is great). But if you're interested, I made a similair thread here:

I was starting back at the mid 1980s' and working toward the mid 2000s'.

I only remember He-Man repeats that had something to do with space adventures. Yes, there was the 2002 revival that likely was not a success. I don't know since the fad was before my time and I did not watch the revival.

I remember those threads. I was a lurker back then. I grew up with 1987 and didn’t like 2003 at first (didn’t help that Garbageman was the first episode I saw), but it started to grow on me after watching “The Shredder Strikes” two-parter.

Well I don't really check Cracked, so I wouldn't know.

Yeah at first I was a bit reticent too, but then watched it and got hooked to it.
