ollies

Not sure if this is a nationwide thing but my local ollies store had a bunch of TMNT t-machines for 1.99 and some older TMNT figures, the space wave, for 5.00 each.

Also burlington coat factory had a bunch of mega construct sets for really cheap. I got the old turtle van for 13.00.

I posted in the Mega Bloks thread that Mattel has now started listing some TMNT items directly onto eBay. They have a listing for Mega Construx TMNT Blind Bags which picture series 4, 5 and 6 but claim in the listing to be for series 6 and 7. But this may actually be more interesting. It is the Splinter/Shredder set from the Rip Spin Warriors line. I have never seen this set in stores or seen any indication that it was produced. And oddly, Mattel only had one on eBay.

I don't think I've even heard of this line.

Vs Rip-Spin Warriors

The line has been out for quite a while. But it has a mix of different licenses in it including Marvel, Street Fighter, Ghostbusters and more. But it really didn't gain much interest and I didn't think anything beyond the original releases were ever produced. But suddenly today Mattel had the Shredder/Splinter set and Raphael single figure showed up on eBay along with tons of other listings. But now it looks like they have removed almost all of them.

I did take a shot and ordered a case of the blind bag Mega Construx figures while that listing was up. So it will be interesting to see what shows up.

Ordered Warrior Horse with Mikey over the weekend and found Warrior Horse with Raph at Wal-Mart today, so now I finally have all of the "horse" figures released. I just gotta find my Evil Warhorse from Movie III that's floating around here somewhere.

Still haven't seen hide nor hare of Samurai Don or standalone Samurai Usagi.

Weird, yeah I'm in different toy aisles quite a bit around here and while they don't interest me in the slightest, something like that in as many brands would have jumped out at me at some point, I'm sure.

I REALLY expected Playmates to load up the store pegs for the holidays, but I'm still just seeing scraps from the Monster/Samurai/Super Shredder waves.

I know nothing else new is coming, but is this really it? Every year Playmates has loaded up stores, but now it seems like they're letting the line die quietly. Kinda sad.

Most of that is based on what stores order. At least at Walmart, my brother is a manager there, and he made the toys manager order two cases of turtle figures, since there hadn’t been any new in a while. Keeping my fingers crossed there is something good in the cases.

Tell your brother middle Tennessee needs some turtle persuasion haha
That'd be an awesome notion

More Mega Construx sets finally popping up. Amazon now has the Shredder's Throne set available for the regular retail price.

Saw all four of the ghostbusters TMNT at target. they are discounted to 13.95 each right now too.

passed on them though. I'm not going to support the 6" line unless they actually listen to what the fans want. these wrestling and ghostbusters TMNT variants are definitely not that.

I found a few interesting items today. I stopped at one Walmart store and they had finally restocked their basic figures. And I'm beginning to think Playmates is trolling fans who are still looking for Muckman. Instead of adding him back into the rotation, they included Knockout Ninja Leo. I'm glad that Leo is getting additional releases. But it seems silly not to have added Muckman as well.

And when I stopped at Toys R Us this afternoon I found that they had restocked with basic figures as well which was a pleasant surprise after more than a month with hardly any stock. But of more note was a shipment of 11 inch assortment figures. Playmates has evidently now added the Squeeze 'Em Leo and Mikey figures to the 11 inch assortment under new item numbers. They have also added a Raphael to the Turtle Talkin' series.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of restocking lately too. Henchmen repaints, the Super Shredder turtles, etc. Never gonna find Muckman, argh!!!
