Sony Considering New Animated Spider-Man Series

According to the New York Times, Sony are considering making new Spider-Man animated shows following the success of the Spider-Verse movie. No telling how they'll get around this unless those rumors of Marvel Animation closing down are true and Disney are thinking of leashing the TV license back to Sony.

Well, I mean, obviously they'd be fools not to.

Like if we had an entire series or comic based on Turtles Forever

As long as it's more along the lines of Spectacular Spider-Man and less like Marvel's recent animated series in terms of quality, I'm all for it.

Well, I actually hope they can make a cartoon without Marvel/Disney. I really do, because my feeling about all the Marvel cartoons after EMH lies somewhere in a triangle spectrum of disinterest, confusion and straight up anger.

Just look at this crap:

Why yes, those are indeed promos that completely fail to make the shows look good. Why is that? Because there aren't any highlights to show off, they're that bad.

And a little brief summary of how well they represent the shows:
Ultimate Spider-Man is actually more annoying than it looks.
Just like the promos imply, Avengers Assemble and GotG are just poor imitations of the movies, cheap cash-in by definition.
The Hulk one is similar to USM but not quite as irritating.
The new Spider-Man is the least bad but the promo still speaks for it.
