in a lot of those names, "-ie" is a common replacement to make it more feminine. Think of it like "Billie Jean"

I've mostly noticed "Billie" as a girl's name in British/Australian stuff.

The newest companion in Doctor Who is a girl named Bill, and one of the characters in the show Offspring is the oldest sister of the Proudmans, Billie. I guess it's like how Charlie is slowly becoming a girl's name too.

Ashley and Leslie were boy names once upon a time too. And Ariel.

I know a guy called Ashley, he worked on some C64 titles in the early 90s as the machine wound down commercially. And Billie features more in Dr Who, as in Billie Piper aka Rose, the first companion in the revamp.

The more you pay attention to certain trends and similarities, the more you realize that trailer editing is largely a by-the-numbers job. But that's a very misleading video.

WOW.

So instead of a direct copy of A New Hope, VIII will be a direct copy of The Force Awakens.

I actually find that level of symmetry impressive. Artistic, you could say.

Well, c'mon. Episode 7 was the first new SW movie in over a decade.

TLJ trailer is just so vapid. The TFA trailer had to try to be interesting.

I guess you didn't realize that the Force Awakens portion of that video is from 3 different trailers as well as footage from the movie that was never in a trailer cut to look similar to the Last Jedi teaser.

Don't be surprise when The Last Jedi comes out, and the footage we see from some of the trailers aren't in the actual movie.

He's saying that the video is tricking viewers into thinking that the trailers are shot-by-shot identical. In some respects they're similar, but the person who made that video is being very misleading by adding in all sorts of TFA scenes that were never in the marketing.

Well I think we can already guess what the first change to TFA will be when it comes time for re-releases.

The latest issue of Vanity Fair features The Last Jedi, and it will have different covers, one of the covers features an unmasked Captain Phasma.

I honestly think the weakest part of the new movies so far are the villains. Granted Kylo Ren has a chance to be really well developed in the next two films, but all the other new Imperial generals and Captain Phasma are meh. Also Snoke was a terrible idea for an Emperor Palpatine replacement.

I bet he's not. Rey will become the big bad by the end of this all.
