This one $700+....a previous one $1300+??? Doesn't Kevin charge like $100-$150 for these at cons? Is CGC SS really worth an additional $500+??
Yeah, good call. I have 2 sketch covers from Eastman. One of them was even published in an issue (I wrote a thank you letter to Kevin that got published).

I can't imaging either of them going for that much.

Yeah, I too am puzzled. It's so tempting to put my Casey Jones slab up after seeing those AUCTION prices. Very taken aback by what the market says right now.

Baltimore was nice yesterday, despite the fact I'm an complete idiot(story for another time). It's almost like I have ESP or something because when I made the comment about Veitch having TMNT OA with him for sale, I had a feeling it would be true. Sure enough I picked up a nice "Sky Highway" page. Veitch is a very calm and cool guy, his wife is a sweetheart also. quite the pair they make. This was a big thing for me because it put me over the 25% completion mark for volume one. 16 out of 62 down, 46 to go. I know that 100% completion is a pipe dream, but hope can be quite powerful.

I also picked up another Tales Vol. 2 page. I think it'll compliment my Dan Duncan oot(thanks ppp for putting me on to that term, feel silly I never knew) page.

TMNT #30 page 36

TMNT Tales Vol. 2 Issue 14 backup story "First Mud" page 2

Awesome Splinter stuff! I guess you're a big fan of his, eh? & I love that Dooney print, it's one of my favorites.

Yeah I dig Splinter, but it was just coincidental that that page caught my eye. I thought it was the best one out of his under $50 selection. I had already set out to get a Peterson Splinter sketch. I thought since he draws Mouse Guard, he wouldn't mind sketching another rodent, haha.

While not TMNT related, & overpriced, this is a neat listing. 28 year old sketches from the Doonmeister. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Drawings-B...item2594c8c318

Welcome to the club friend! Nice pickups, I like how Petersen drew Splinter talking turtle...

Two new additions, both by Glenn Fabry. Took him quite a while, I actually asked him to sketch Raph instead of Leo, but oh well. What you gonna do Still happy with the Casey, and Leo's cool as well..

Ahhhh man that's awesome! Glen nailed that Casey! First time I've seen him do TMNT work. I've been considering a Preacher commision from him, think I might have to go for it now

Newest piece came in today. I wanna thank Jared(MrPliggins) for the trade. My goal is to have all 4 Turtles in these early pinup types framed up. 2 Eastmans,2 Lairds, 2 more to go. Peters work can be difficult to find, as I believe he keeps most of his work. Anyways excited to have it in my collection, if your reading this, thanks again Jared!

Side by side, Laird and Eastman

Just noticed this Shredder book is back up with a $1000 BIN. Hmm, in the realm of infinite possibilities, this smells like a shill bid scandal gone awry. The bid history of the original auction is suggestive of this IMHO. Glad I decided not to give into temptation with my CGC SS C. Jones...
-----

Hoping to have some more Vol. 1 pages in the next few weeks. Many will be disappointed, some will be jubilant! That is all.
