I agree!

Having my grocery shopping finished for about a week makes me happy. Glad I did that last night. Plus, I had a ten piece nugget meal from McD's which I only eat around every once a month. It's like being a kid again since I've made McD's such a rarity over the past five years. More enjoyable.

Leo & Jester: I believe I know that movie. It sounds like you're describing Rhinestone, which I vaguely remember from back then. 1984, right?

What made me happy. Another day off, and payday to boot!! Got my check, had lunch with the hubby (got him out of the house for a bit, and he got to see some of his former coworkers) and went grocery shopping at Wal-Mart after. While I was there, I got my mitts on two more toys- the movie Shredder figure, and the Nick Tiger Claw! They must have just got in some new figures, because Tiger Claw wasn't there a few days ago, and he's the ONLY one of those they had. I snatched him up, of course. Almost bought a Baxter and/or Leatherhead, too, but I really liked TC's design, and the movie Shredder was one of the last film figs they had left. Yay! Now my turtles have some bad guys to fight. Expect some new avatar pics from me eventually. Casey, TC, Shredder, Splinter, Raph- I'm sensing a fight in my near future....

Got 83% on my assignment, and some nice, complimentary comments from the tutor. Pretty happy with that.

Congrats, Dave - I'm really happy for you. Well done, dude.

My thing that made me happy today... I took a chance on doing something that I was scared to do (don't want to say what it is yet until I see how it pans out... but I will say that I was inspired by some of the brave people here - every day I see folks standing up and taking on the world even though they have problems of their own, not being afraid to give it all they've got with their art, with their music, their careers, with their passion and beliefs... and I figured "If they can be brave, I can be brave too.")

Thank you all for inspiring me to not be afraid to try something I really wanted. I really mean it.

Thanks penny. Great to hear that you've summoned the strength to try something. Always nice to hear, and you can tell me about it when you feel more at ease.

A gift from one of my friends arrived in the mail today!

...And I can't open it until Christmas.

That's the most sadistic kind of frustration ever.
Well played on your friend's part.

Hmm, what's making me happy today?
I get to go home soon and put the finishing touches on the last piece of new furniture I bought last week.

Moving is a long, drawn out, process...that will soon be done with.
I hope.

Oh my god, I know the moving pain well. Since 2009, my family's gone through it four or five times, and each time was to a different state. We had to leave a lot of belongings behind, sell others, and still be unable to unpack everything when we arrived because we had too much stuff to put in the smaller houses.

I was in my last place for 15 years, and we had a gigantic attic, so...yeah. I still can't find anything and there were too many boxes.

I know that well. Some of the things I know never got left behind or sold I still can't locate after all these years, and it's endlessly frustrating.

LOL, I just got a new phone, too! Well, technically, I ordered a new one for my hubby, as his current phone is on its last legs. Should arrive sometime next week. I'm hoping to get a new one for myself either in a few weeks for X-Mas, or when I get my income tax next year.

Talking to my BF and making plans for the holidays. We're going to play it by ear and see what happens with the weather. I'm going to get his gifts today so that it'll be done before snow comes.

Cool to hear, Bubbly. I'm glad you guys are getting to see each other.

Also awesome about the new iPhones, Duckie and Icebot. I still need to get one. I've still got the old as dirt flip phone!

Reading Gargoyles fanfiction makes me happy. Found a whole website devoted to what happened after Hunter's Moon. I'm actually reading a tun of TMNT fics at the moment including Gargoyles crossovers and a lot of other stuff people have been putting up via the drome lately. It's raining this evening so I tend to read a lot when that happens. Finding great stories makes me happy.

It's awesome when you find a new stash of fanfic - especially when they're nice big ones! Even better when the storylines are finished or being currently updated.

My happy thing for today - new glasses.

Yep, fan fics are awesome, and I love reading new ones and creating my own, too. That always makes me happy. Also, watching the new TMNT ep yesterday made me very happy.

Let's see: good episodes in the show I currently watching. Tasty chocolate bar with coffee and cake. Couple of annoying idiots being called out on another forum I frequesnt by the guy who I didn't expect to do so (and he did it brilliantly).

So, all in all. It was a good day so far. Which is a rarity for me this days.

Another happy-maker: Thanksgiving dinner leftovers! Yum. We do it early, since we do the TG dinner with all the Nov./Dec. birthdays, because there are so many. There was cake, pie, an awesome banana pudding, and all kinds of yummy stuff for dinner. And now I have leftovers to munch on for the next day or two. (Less groceries to buy- yay!)

Also, found out my hubby's new phone will (hopefully) be here on Monday, which is sooner than I had expected. (And it's NOT an iPhone, it's a Samsung.) It will also be shipped with the IDW TMNT vol. 9, so I'll have some "new" comics to read! Woo-hoo!
