It follows. I liked it, the ending was facepalm enducing, but enjoyable overall.

Black Panther. I think most of the Marvel movies are pure trash, but there are some I like, and this is one of them. Solid story, engaging villain you could sympathize with, and minimal cracks at humor. Only thing I did'nt like were the CGI Rhinos and the racist jab at white boys.

Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Two words that can describe it the best are: gloomy and boring. Both titular characters are mangled version of themselves. Batman is Judge Dredd in everything but the name and it looks like he is one step away from starting carpet bombing Gotham to get rid of criminals. Superman looks like he has superconstipation and despise everything and everyone. Wonder Woman is good, but she looks so normal and fun, that it looks like she belongs to a different, much better movie, than BVS. Lex Luthor looks like he takes drugs, drinks coffee and stimulators all at the same time. He absolutely has no charisma and doesn't channel any kind of threat or presence. How this guy rules corporation, when he looks like barely an tie his shoelaces - is a anyone's question. In my opinion, comic book movies should inspire people, give some sort of charge of optimism, but BVS is completely lacking in that regard. It's not to say that there is no place for darker works, but BVS is not just darker - it's utterly boring and convoluted for the sake of being convoluted. Main characters are irritating, plot largely doesn't make much sense and not interesting to follow to. Even CGI battles looks boring since they don't offer anything new. Even TMNT2: OOS had more creative fight scenes. All in all, if that was how DCCU should have been under Snyder leadership, I am happy that it most likely won't become this thing. So far Marvel movies for me all the way. |

Coco. Another great and touching Pixar movie. Even the happy songs had me in tears.

The Ritual. A movie about a group of British hikers getting into some deep shot in Swedish forest. Was pretty good and creepy

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Well made and all, but the characters and their actions were often hard to sympathize with.

Rewatched Iron Man 3, I really like this movie. Even though I'm not a fan of the Mandarin we got in the movie it was still done so well that I don't mind.
Saw Black Panther. I love this movie so very much, the costumes, the various African looks incorporated into Wakanda, the use of IsiXhosa, the rich colors and visuals. Seeing the Dola Milaje kick as much ass as Black Panther. I hope we see more of Klaw, maybe in a red spandex. |

What was wrong with the rhinos? I LOVED that! Such a cool "Tolkeinesque" idea. And it fit right into their culture and fighting style.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I just don't know that they should. Serkis did a great job in the role, I wouldn't want to see that cheapened by bringing him back for no good reason. I just can't see anyone who has the ability to resurrect him actually wanting to

No one stays dead in superhero comics
plus Klaw in the comics became living sound and was essentially immortal, there's still a off-chance he'll wake up in whatever ditch W'Kabi tossed the body in, being changed due to his reckless use of that hand canon slowly mutating him of whatevs. Seems to be a bit of a waste having "The Mo-Cap" guy and not utilize that. |

Saw Black Panther today after postponing it on Friday, because there were no seats.

American Poltergeist.
Wow it was bad, like really bad. The actors had no charisma or chemistry, the lines was as engaging as on-shoot line reading and the atmosphere was nil. And the lack of suspense was not replaced by gore either so you basically had nothing to see. I found scarier eBay listings while watching this movie... $300 for a 2012 Muckman, that's spookier then the entire movie and it got a sequel. This was 3 starts on Netflix, wat? The best part is the cinematography, it was on par with backyard movies me and my friends where doing in our early teens, using the camera zoom and all. |

Saw the Mummy remake, I think because I was expecting it to be awful I didn't find it that bad, not great but okay... prefer the older one.
Coraline, left with a few questions on the creature, maybe the book will fill have more details. Just debating whether to wait until the roads clear (snow) and buy Thor or buy if from sky so I have it today Last edited by newfan; 03-02-2018 at 03:21 AM. |
