Well, it wouldn't be the first time something like this happened. Personally, I'd rather see more Mirage or IDW art and designs used for "adult" merchandise than making up new designs that don't "belong" to any particular iteration... or even 2003-style as most or all of the kids who watched that show are adults now. But I do like the design here overall.

This Shredder looks far too menacing and over designed for a series that's supposed to be, "lighter and funnier" than the Nick cartoon.

I don't know if it's related to the new show coming out, but I like the design overall.

Would explain the "Dark shredder" title you guys have such a hard time grasping. With the new series being mystic turtles.

The new series is supposed to be lighter and funnier from the official description. This seems to be the complete opposite.

Yes, but there can still be darker elements to it, too.

I don't think this material is gonna end in the Rise show, wich it a real bummer because I really dig this Shredder.
