I regret choosing Sega Master System over NES as a small child. Because my parents made it a big deal that I go and sell my Sega Master System at a swap meet before I could get a NES... but I was OK with that.

That said, the Sega Master System phaser was way, wayyyy cooler than the NES gun.

Would you believe that the Master System outsold the NES in most of Europe and in Brazil?

My first real console was Playstation and while I don't regret having it, my friend had the SNES and we'd go to his place and play video games then at my place. But, then his dad took away his SNES and gave him a Playstation too since his dad would just pirate the games instead of purchasing them.

This happened the day after we finally got to Super Shredder in TiT and we almost defeated him, we where pretty crushed for awhile that we couldn't finish the game.

I'm pretty sure most people who are aware of the Master System know this.

I liked my Master System, but I also got it after I had the NES. It was just... different and intriguing. I don't think I'd put any game higher in favor than the best of the NES, or even say it had better games in general, but it was an experience I was captivated by at the time.

And I still want them to do something new with Psycho Fox, dammit!

I regret ever having bought an X-Box 360. Had it for like 5 years and only played one game on it, everything else I wanted was either on PS3 or PC.

May I ask what that one game was?

Ghostbusters, with the whole Ghostbusters cast. The 360 version was the best version of all the systems, it was reported, so that's the system I bought it on.

I still say the Wii "stylized" version was far superior.

I never got why people say this when they mean it's not in use. I use my ***** everyday and I still have to wipe them down like once a month for dust. Do people constantly move their consoles around or something? I don't get it.

There's at least 15 games for the Wii you could have bought, so do some research.

It's something that was said of things that were regularly picked up, used, and moved around, and I suppose it's just something that stuck for all things.

Yeah same, I regret not buying an OG Xbox or a PlayStation 1

Even though I love handheld gaming to this day (I recently got a New 3DS XL), I regret choosing a Game Boy Advance over a lime green Nintendo 64 for my birthday when I was a kid. I didn't really get into TV connected console gaming until I got my PS2 the following year.

I bought my first Wii for the sole purpose of playing Metroid: Other M and was a little disappointed after that. I sold it all but ended up getting another one for emulation/modding purposes.

I regret going all digital on Nintendo this past generation 3DS/Wii U; I'm still an all digital person but Nintendo was clearly the wrong choice to do it with as well.

I kind of regret getting a PS2 and Gamecube during that gen because it's when I stopped playing video games, not because either system was bad. I probably should've gone PS2 only even if I love my Gamecube more because it got me to play all the PS1 classics and PS2 ones before I stopped "gaming" and I'd eventually be able to play the Gamecube ones on the Wii not to mention I had always owned Nintendo consoles until then so I wouldn't have missed that much. But yeah a waste of money to own both systems when I hardly played at all.

I regret not getting a Gaming PC during the PS360 era.

I regret buying Guitar Hero.
