I really like it. A lot of people trash on it because it offers nothing new, but having the Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, and Red Earth characters battle it out using the mechanisms from their respected series offers a whole new experience IMO I typed a mini review of it on another forum. I'll copy and paste it. ---- Well, I bought Capcom Fighting Jam the day before yesterday, and I must say that I really like it. I guess it was good to go on my gutt feeling and it worked out well for me. I guess my expectations my have been so low from the reviews and what people have posted on this topic that I was pleasantly surprised. It really surprised me how well they were able to keep the fighters so close to their respected series's and still have them able to clash with others from another series and make it work. You'd think a game like this would be really unbalanced but surprisingly it was quite balanced. I also liked the character selection even though a little more than half the cast were made up of street fighters. At first I was a little turned off by that, but when I played the game I kinda see why they did it, It was a way to show the diversity between the different SF instalments. Despite the fact that there were so many Street Fighter's I thought the cast was quite diverse and it helped that a good many of the Street Fighters were some of my favorites from their series. The Red Earth Characters were interesting to. Leo reminds me of a mixture of He-man and Lion-o *ha ha* I thought that was pretty cool, I thought Kenji was cool as was Hydron, I didn't care for Hauzer though. The Darkstalkers are awsome as well, though I still can't use Anakaris for the life of me. I also like the music, while its not the best music in a fighter, I still liked it. Some of the themes aren't really memorable but its still good stuff. Well I guess I just have to say that I liked it and I'm glad I didn't listen to the folks that told me not to buy it. well thats it for my mini review. ------- I hope this helps. I think there's an acquired taste for this kinda game, I like it but so many people hate it. If you're a Capcom fighter collector, I'd say sure go a head get it. but if you're feeling a bit skeptical maybe you should read up on it or rent it first. |

^played it... and hated it. I'm as big a Capcom fighting fan as anyone else, but this game was disappointing. I assumed it'd have almost every character to choose from, which hyped me up huge... but it's only like 4 per game and that took away a lot from the great things this game could have been. If anything, they could have at least made the character sprites look homogenous, as if they came from the same game.

Got Mario & Luigi Partners in Time for DS and Spider-Man 2 (It was cheap) for GC.
I keep wanting to steal cars as Spidey, but alas.

Sonic Rush. I've got to admit that it's my very first Sonic game. I like how oldschool it is.

It's awesome. Fully voiced dialouge, cut-scenes, amazing update to the graphics. It's great, man. I recommend it.
Edit: Ok. This game is amazingly sick. The only complaint I have so far are the remixed songs. They sound good, in fact some sound better, but a couple are a little crappy. If anyone is an X fan, this is a must-buy. Edit 2: You know those damn submarines in Launch Octopus' stage? Well they made them even more annoying. They put a shot deflecting guard on the front of them. It only goes down when it's trying to suck you in. As if the 2nd one by the two spike pits wasn't annoying enough! YAAARRRGGG! So far I've beaten Flame Mamoth, Chill Penguin, Spark Mandril and Armored Armadillo. I've found two X upgrades, but they were in completely different places. Coolness. The sub-tanks and heart tanks are in the same places though. Edit 3: Beat the game. You unlock a 25 minute X movie that takes place before the game!!!! Also you get Spoiler:

Lets see...I've been buying so many games now....
The last one and the one I'm currently playing is Shadow Of The Colossus for PS2. I like it. sometimes the camera angles get a bit irritating, but overall I find the game quite fun! |

Dr. Mario and Puzzle Leauge.
Great game pak. But as far as my habit's gone with the game... they'd have been better off just nixing Dr. Mario. >_>. I seriously olmost got ran over on my way back to the car because Puzzle Leauge was distracting me. |

Me and my sis picked up Resident Evil 4 for the GC, yo.
I love it. My friend plays it more than we do... but-- still fun to watch, though.

Bought Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for GameCube.
Played for a minute (Well, five minutes if you count the loading), turned my Cube off in frustration and dug through my trash to find the receipt.

It's frustrating that the GC and PS2 ports of the Splinter Cell games are so much worse than the XBox versions.

They must have screwed the porting up pretty bad, the game is pretty much unplayable because of the horrible controls and camera.
I'm going to give the game another chance tonight, and if it still sucks as much I'm trading it in tomorrow. Too bad I bought it at a toy store that barely has any games.
