It's not going to start until the fall when the new TV season starts, which is typically September.

According to Rob himself in his latest podcast, Mae Whitman is in fact April O'neil.

Cool. I loved her in Arrested Development. She's the current VA of Tinkerbell.

She was also recently seen in the show, Parenthood.

Okay. I don't know what to do.

Mae Whitman as April is great casting. But I'm worried about how they will be making her as a teen. I'm hoping she'll be someone like Chloe Sullivan from Smallville. Let's just hope for more updates.

I really want to see and LOVE this series. I don't know. I've tried to get into the 2k3 series, but it makes me feel uncomfortable. Mostly it's because they made some of my favorite characters look bad, like Leo. I'm hoping Nick doesn't do things like that in the new series too much. I don't know. I loved the first comic issues and the first movie a lot. I want to find a fresh new TMNT that I, along with my friends, can watch and enjoy.

Still, Katara as April. It's a start.

Maybe I'm just as lame as Jester, but that joke was obvious to me the first time I read. And I was thinking the exact same thing: It's funny!

Yep. We've basically seen Mae grow up on screen. From the 7 year old who looses her mother in ID4 to now. Unfortunatly she's typecast as playing teens (despite being in her early 20's) because she looks so young.
