  1. Is Batman meant to resemble the Rat King?
  2. I guess Splinter/Alfred works but it's kind of bizarre.
  3. I get Red Hood Raph, Nightwing Leo and Shredder Joker, but why Bebop and Rocksteady as Killer Croc and Clayface? Has Batman really been around for 80 years without ever having a Rhino themed villain? I know Professor Pyg is a thing.
  4. Please don't tell me April is mashed up with Vicky Vale, I would hate that.

The Rocksteady/Clayface throws me for a loop. Was Matt Hagen (or whatever) turned into a mutant rhino-man then gained all the shape-shifting powers?

With Croc/Bebop, it's clear he just has a certain fashion sense.

I'm guessing April/Barbara Gordon is the most likely amalgamation, either as a costumed adventurer or Oracle.

These are just for fun. I think everyone is taking them too serious...

I'm liking Karai-Harley as a natural mesh. Deadshot looks somewhat uninspired to me.

Freddie W. seemed to confirm on Twitter that "Red Hood" Donatello is actually supposed to be "Red Robin."

Mikey Robin has a weird thread connecting his cape to his belt buckle, but I like the overall design.

Definitely looks like something Jay Pritchett would buy for his foyer!

Nailed it on the Harley/Karai mash-up!

I wonder who they'd merge with Casey?

Leatherhead will be merged with Mr. Freeze to form Weatherhead! Big honkin' albino alligator with an ice gun, can you dig it?

...WTF am I looking at?

I can't believe people nowadays actually get paid to generate essentially the same kind of content thought up by bored 6-year olds playing with their crayons. Or Sonic fans. No difference, truthfully.

"Dood, lookit! This dude I made up is like this guy and that guy, but they're ONE guy!" All that's missing is for one of them to have "every superpower plus infinite invincibility" to make them "super DUPER cool!" and it's first grade recess all over again.

I look at it more as a very unfortunate comment on how cynical DC is, and how they know we'll eat up anything with Batman or Turtles on it.

"We wanna do another Batman/TMNT crossover, because it sells. Got any ideas?"
"Bro, I'm balls deep in this intern and high as a fvcking kite. Just come up with something, can't you?"
"TMNT/Batman mashup? Shredder/Joker?"
"Fvck if I care. *snorts cocaine off intern*."

Pretty much. Especially TMNT fans; they've been eating sh*t for so long they can't tell it from ice cream anymore, so I get that. But Bat-fans are generally a bit more discriminating in their taste, so seeing something with a Batman logo on it aim so low is a bit disheartening. But like you said, they know it'll sell to a certain type of fanatic no matter what.

I skipped the first two for various reasons, but this one in particular looks pretty dreadful. It looks like an idea for a spin-off toy line, not ... y'know... a "story".

Although with TMNT stuff it's all one and the same nowadays, so I guess that's fair.

In the concept's defense, they're pretty cool toy concepts.

Like, I won't pay money for this series, but I'm really enjoying the art Freddie's posted. And who knows, there's a chance the story is better than the dumb crap they pulled with the first two series.

Did you ever read the late 1990s DC vs. Marvel crossover which gave us the Amalgam Comics Universe?

Everyone's probably going to hate me for saying this, but I get the feeling you guys are holding TMNT to too high of a standard. I love the franchise too, it's produced some of my favorite stories ever, but seriously, it's literally the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. There's nothing wrong with a dumb but fun story and this crossover perfectly captures that. For the most part (though obviously, with exceptions), that's what TMNT is about. Pretty much everyone I've seen outside of this forum loves the crossovers. If you just go along with the ride and appreciate it for the fact that it's just a fun story where the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles meet up with Batman to beat up Ra's Al Ghul and the Shredder, I'd say you'll appreciate it a lot more. Just my 2 cents.

I'm pretty sure the problem is it's NEVER held to any sort of high regard. Whenever the powers at be decided to go all out crazy and actually make a serious TMNT story, then we can talk. If all they get are constant 'dumb fun' stories, that just tarnishes the overall brand as ONLY being dumb and fun.

That said, I have zero idea what they plan to do with this, expect Krang somehow merging the dimensions and the characters, assuming they're aware, have to stop it before it's permanent.

What about... Two-Face and Rat King? Black Mask and Hun? Catwoman and Nobody? Mad Hatter and Bishop? Poison Ivy and Wyrm? Riddler and Doctor Dome? Scarecrow and Savanti?

Well, why not the Bat King (Rat King + Man-Bat)? EPFiend (Bishop + KGBeast)? Slush (Slash + Hush)?

This whole thing is really just one gigantic ball of nonsensical fun. I love it!
