Bittersweet to be wrapping up the Bill & Ted shoot. Tho I'm happy I get to read this on the flight home in a few days.

Looks like the movie is almost done. Maybe we might get a teaser trailer before the end of the year.

Rewatched Excellent Adventure a few months back and mostly dug it, in spite of certain parts not aging well at all. Just rewatched Bogus Journey and... wow... that was a bad movie. Painfully unfunny. Moments from the Reaper worked, but that's about it. The parts in Hell and Heaven and the alien "Station" helper are largely nonsensical.

Which parts did you feel didn't age well other than the 80's surfer slang?

One funny thing about Bill and Ted is that despite their 'not that bright' status, they do use a lot of big fancy words. Like there's comics of them and since you can't hear the 'whoooooaaaaaa' in their voices as you read them it's surprising just how wordy and 'smart sounding' they are.

Really just talking about the SFX. Same with Bogus Journey. I'm sure anyone now would be quick to point out them calling people "f a g" in a derogatory sense as something that has aged poorly... but as even "It: Chapter One" encapsulates, that was kind of the leading insult of the day.

Bogus Journey just boggles me. If I was really high (I don't get high) maybe it would make more sense. But it just seems like everyone at every level of the production was. Like, can anyone explain to me the true value of the alien "Station" thing to me in a way that makes sense?

Basically Station is an inside joke. The writers deleted a scene but left the word station behind. Because they were drunk, they thought it was hilarious.

I'm most curious as to how they're going to portray Bill and Ted's... empty-headedness. Like, if the first two movies are them with that on a scale at a 10, will the new movie have them still at a 10 in their 50s? Will it be, like, a 5? Will they even be empty-headed at all beyond little moments?

Assuming they have some sort of day job, we can assume they have to kinda fake it and act 'adult' and 'mature' until they get home and dude out. I wonder if the movie takes it as far as they even grew apart and Bill and Ted need to seek each other out to get their story going.
