Is this the best shot of April in the 80's show?

She looks a lot prettier here than in most screens. Probably the best her face was ever drawn. Her hair is more reddish too whereas a lot of eps made it look more brown.

She looks like her hydroponic weed literally just kicked in.

That's pretty cool.

This may be true actually, but it isn't saying much. Psychologists have studied for..... well at least for as long as my undergrad back in the day, that attractiveness is inherently quantified by people as a knee-jerk reaction to what has become known as the golden ratio - 1:1.618. It's basically a number that expresses equal symmetry. The short of it is that the more symmetrical someone's face is, the more widely accepted it is that they are good looking.

The FW cartoon had that progressively more and more "gumby" art style to it. The people in the show were cartoony. Generally I'd guess that the best shots of April were probably somewhere in the first few episodes of the season 1 mini-series where the linework was generally the best the series was. Greater symmetry - even on the turtles with the beak lines.

But back to perceived attractiveness - sometimes you have people that are so symmetrical and boring that they can't help but admittedly be gorgeous. Anne Hathaway is like that. Gorgeous, but gorgeous because she's so symmetrical and perfect that she's nearly boring to look at, although undeniably good looking. She's so smoothed over that she's boring but can't help but be good looking.

That. Is. HYSTERICAL! Somewhere between that image and your comment I see a Fensler Films PSA parody. If anyone here doesn't know what I'm talking about, go to youtube and be prepared to be entertained for hours - about 20 seconds at a time.

I mean the best shot focused on her face rather than her butt, yeah, I'd say it's a good shot.

Honestly that looks like Burne telling her she's fired despite delivering a Pulitzer-winning story just minutes earlier.

I sweat, nothing pleases that guy.

It's the equivalent of winning the title at Wrestlemania's Main Event but getting fired cause well... you could have won TWO belts but only won one.

Honestly, I think it's a toss-up between these two frames:

Beware the Lotus

Planet of the Turtles

Wow. Yeah. I think she looks great here in the OP. Not only is she gorgeous... but she's well represented. hair is the right color, you can see her face without the wild hair that sometimes masks her eyes. That's probably the best I've seen.

I do have some episodes in mind where April's design looks particularly good:

The Cat Woman from Channel Six (non-mutated, of course):

Turtles on Trial (like everything else in the episode)

Ninja Sword of Nowhere (again, everything looks as good as Turtles on Trial)

Splinter Vanishes

Raphael Drives 'em Wild

Unidentified Flying Leonardo

Leonardo Lightens Up (moreso for fluid animation than detail shots, but there are a few nice frames in it)

I think those shots due to the animation styles don't look nearly as good as the first pic of the thread. It's hard to describe really, but since the original cartoon had so many animation styles the ones she's drawn more "standard" and less cartoony/smushed she looks better.

That **** doesn't even show her busty cleavage or her big ass, cubed. What a disappointment this thread was.

Stop hiding the fact you'd love to smash FW April. No one is gonna judge you for that.

This made me laugh in all honesty. I am currently rewatching the 87 show now and I am only on Season 3 episode 5 and I have already seen some hilarious animation errors.

We all know that Vernon is the best looking female in that show.

April as drawn in Fred Wolf was not even a "barbie doll stereotype" - she was a straight up animated porn star. Jessica Rabbit does Roger, guest starring April O'Neil.

In the first season she seemed slightly bustier. Remember when the turtles removed the ropes off her body after beating the foot soldiers on top of the rooftop? We get a close look. The question is: did she wear a bra under that yellow jumpsuit of hers?

I always preferred to imagine she was totally commando under there.

And I didn't expect anything less from you. If you didn't, I'd be severely disappointed
