WWE is playing down the severity of Paige's injury, they're saying she's simply out of the Rumble and not going further than that

Hopefully Richochet makes a good splash in WWE. I'm pulling for good things.

In other news, Jey Uso just got hit with a DUI.

http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/...UI_Photos.html

If it wasn't planned before, I suspect the Uso's are dropping the tag straps to Benjamin and Gable at the Rumble now.

Apparently ECIII is now free from his Impact commitments and could be back in WWE soon. I wonder if they'd let him keep the Carter name though or force him to go back to Derrick Bateman.
Could he keep the Carter name? Would it cause any problems? I know Dixie Carter's not involved with Impact anymore, but still. I'm not sure what the legalities are there or how it works.

I imagine they'd sooner go with Bateman again or something new.

Probably covering their bases. Perhaps they got good news and it turned out things aren't quite as bad as it seemed, so she might have a chance to get back in the ring at some point.

Last I heard Ed Nordhelm is allowing Impact Talents who leave to keep there Impact Names. Also Since Dixie Carter was on a WWE Special of Kurt Angle I think he could keep that name.

Maybe they'll let him keep it, then. They let Samoa Joe keep his, so it's not outside the realm of possibility.

Samoa Joe owns his name I'm pretty sure, he had the name in ROH as well.

That doesn't mean WWE had to use it. In fact, that's usually a detriment for them, because they like owning everything. See also, the stories about Vader coming in, where Vince wanted to call him the Mastodon because they could trademark it and Jim Cornette essentially said "dude, no, it's f***ing Vader, people know him from WCW and Japan, just use the ring name everyone knows" and somehow convinced him to compromise. Yet they let Samoa Joe keep it in WWE, when they could have - and have, for others - insisted on a WWE owned name. Same for AJ Styles. If you're a big enough name elsewhere, you seem to get more consideration for keeping your old name.

Jey Uso gets a DWI. WWE is,definitely goung to lay dkwn some punishment.

Also, I learned on New Year's Eve that Roman has twin sons around a year old. I am pleasantly surprised it was kept out of the media for sake of privacy with all the attention, a lot negative going down.

So, as we get closer to wrestlemania my nostalgia for wrestling returns, I've been watching some things and here are my random thoughts.

- Matt Hardy is finally broken in the WWE, this was a gimmick that I thought was so stupid but ended up going in all the way, now that he is "awoken" in the WWE, I'm just not feeling it.

-Asuka now that she's' not on NXT she doesn't seem as interesting, I don't know why. I'm not a WWE hater like most hardcore wrestling fans either that will feel it's tainted once it's on "main show" wwe.

-Royal Rumble winner being the #1 contender for Wrestlemania is often criticized and makes for predictable winners. The winner should just get a title shot at the next PPV which is always overshadowed by Wrestlemania anyway, in this way it would make it more meaningful, not make the Royal Rumble as predictable since they can always have the winner drop the belt there as well, it seems like a win-win.

That happened in 2008 when Cena won the Rumble and challenged for it at No Way Out, though the match ended in Cena's favour via DQ and led instead to a triple threat at 'Mania where Cena lost his undefeated streak in championship matches at the event when Orton pinned him.

The Rumble winner hadn't been winning the title at 'Mania on a consistent basis after 2007, save for three occasions in 2012 (Sheamus) 2013 (Cena), and most recently 2017 (Orton)

Apparently Enzo knew about the investigation back in October and never told WWE, that was the cause of him getting the ax.

He seemed to have a poor way of handling fame on he main roster judging by stories of locker room behavior. Just when he was taking off he messed up and WWE even seemed to stick with him over Neville. Maybe WWE can make nice with Neville now for the sake of the Cruiser weight division and his fans?

So I kept flipping to it,but missed it so I had to turn to Youtube last night, The Undertaker walked in to take the mic to say he buried the best of the RAW roster. Was it to say he has yet another final match or what was the bottom line? I love him, its just I don't want him to go the way Ric Flair did.
