If you're here in Oz, JB has plenty in stock in store if you want to pick one up. Target, Big W also have them in store. Not hard to find but if you want to order it I ordered the Transformers Box Set, a few other dvds and games years ago from them and had no problems with delivery or quality.

Not sure about international shipping but never had a problem with them before.

yeah I'd have to order internationally from their online site since I'm in the US, thanks for letting me know the stores are reputable.

No worries, I've also ordered from ezydvd and they're very reliable they also ship internationally so you should also be in good hands there.

has anyone had any experience with ezydvd or jb hi fi? Two Australian stores I see the DVD available for immediate ordering.
My apologies if I turn out to be wrong. I'm just guessing because I really don't know.

I say go for it. You're still gonna get a better product than the US DVD (widescreen and uncut).

the US one is so bad I can't even bring myself to buy it at it's super low prices. I ordered two from Australia figured maybe someone here with the UK version could have it for comparison, of it no one was interested maybe a trusted member of the board here could work up some way to give it away to those that would want a free copy.

Got this in today from JB, never expected it to arrive so quickly. Anyone with the UK DVD interested in a free copy of the Australian version to compare PQ to?

no takers? you don't even have to pay shipping I just want a comparison with the UK DVD. Or we can work out a give away if no one wants it to compare.

You talking about Turtles Forever yes? I'd like to do it but I'm rubbish at all that technology stuff. I'd take it anyway if you're offering, only problem is I don't feel comfortable giving out my address.

Hope someone does it for you. As I say I would do it but I'm rubbish with that sort of thing (comparisons of picture quality).

I understand not wanting to give your address out, I'm on the blu-ray.com forums if anyone wants to check my trader ratings out there. Ned Schneebly

Cool, well I will consider it anyway. I do trust you, it's just that things can go wrong when addresses are given out.

The bigger issue is my cluelessness in terms of analysing picture qualities.

I have a feeling that the Australian and UK DVD are identical sans the region coding. To confirm this, can both of you do this:

1) Load the DVD into your computer.
2) Go to My Computer => D: (or E: depending on which one is your DVD drive letter)
3) Right click on VIDEO_TS and click Properties.
4) Report back here on the Size in bytes.

If they are the same quality, most likely we will see identical (or very similar) file sizes between the two versions. If one is significantly larger than the other, it is the one with better quality due to higher encoding bitrate.

Old news. Sorry. It also appears to be 60 mins in length instead of 81, so we're a little dubious about it.

Can't do it now - my cousin has my copy, so will have to wait. Perhaps someone else can do it in the meantime?

Woops, missed that. I assume the "60 mins" is just a Amazon error. The BBFC haven't rated a shorter cut anyway.
