Custom Baxter Stockman Fly!
This was a fun project I made for a Secret Santa custom swap on another forum. I was given free reign to redesign Baxter how I wished - the only stipulation was that he look "monsterous"! I took a lot of design cues from both the 2K3 and 2012 series (not to mention the original toylines' propensity for characters with one shoe on), but ultimately wanted to imagine how Baxter might have looked had he mutated into the Fly during the original Mirage run.
He was built from way too many parts to list, but he's mainly an old Marvel Legends Venom upper body and WWE Elite lower body with parts from a LOTR Spider toy. The head, hands, feet and most of the clothing details were sculpted in either Apoxie or Procreate - there's a lot of sculpted and painted detail on the torso that's totally covered by the coat (which is itself a full sculpt). The head was probably my favourite part to sculpt - he's got compound eyes, pincers and a dripping tongue, and dozens of tiny hairs made from fine wire pieces that were individually implanted.
