R.I.P. Martin Pasko
I have been reading old comics alot during quarantine and I came across one of the letters Martin Pasko wrote in Detective Comics#394 where he was making suggestions to maintain interest. It got me to look for a list of his credits because I know of him as a Bronze Age DC writer and the one who wrote Mask of The Phantasm. I never thought it would turn out that he passed away last week. It said to be the vague natural causes. The comic creator was 65.

This one hurts... BAD!
Marty Pasko wrote some great stories. He was also heavily involved with BTAS (not just Mask of the Phantasm but wrote episodes of the show too and was a story editor.) I loved his Swamp Thing stuff, just before Alan Moore. I hope more of his stuff gets reprinted now. He was a great writer. |
