Great for statue collectors, not so much for action figure collectors. Personally, Id get the MK Spawn figure instead

Howdy heck, it's going to be fully articulated!

If they're shipping in June I guess BBTS will have them in July? That's if they meet the dates due to COVID19. I hope so my loot box can't stay there much longer...

Just watched a super7 video and saw Splinter is coming with a plastic robe and a soft goods robe which I thought was cool.

That's definitely neat, I've never cared for soft goods much.

Just curious, but any particular reason?

I'm kind of a case-by-case kinda guy, but as a huge Superman collector, I gotta say I wish I had some spare figures to practice doing cape-tucks on, because a lot of the plastic ones that come with many of the figures are just plain "Oof", sometimes. Like some of 'em would get a lot more points if they came out of the box with a better-looking cape. Just for example.

I'unno. I don't have a strong preference either way but there's definitely times I think one works better than the other. Just curious.

i can't help but feel like the quality on that splinter looks different from the original mock. anyone else feel that? i hope this is just a bad photo and/or in-progress build. the paint just looks cheap. i love the matte finishes on the original prototypes!

My same impression, it looks different. I hate the fact that we still haven't seen a proper, clear photo of the final product yet, only prototypes. The same goes with the Raphael figure.

That's the beauty of pre-ordering at BBTS, you can still cancel if you want. I have a feeling Pixel Dan will have an in-hand review of these well before mine ship so I'll have plenty of time to decide.

Just watched Pixel Dans interview with Brian Flynn on Patreon. Brian Flynn said they are seriously looking into the possibility of creating a TMNT Ultimates Party Wagon, depending on how well snake mountain is received!

An Ultimate Technodrome and Sewer Playset would almost be perfect for the original Playmates 5 inch figures.

Nothing really. They mentioned Splinter has both plastic and cloth robes (like we saw in the AMA), that he really wants to do a Party Wagon, that they're holding back on wave 3 because they obviously want wave 1 to be in people's hands first, and that we can expect more of the weirdo mutants (which he already told us at Toy Fair).

I'd grab a set of Mutanimals.

Ultimate:

Mondo Gecko - With skateboard etc

Wingnut and Screwloose - With alternate Archie head/Archie Screwloose

Man Ray* - Colour change torsos to replicate Playmates feature and Archie look, Fishstix AND Bubbla The Glublub

Leatherface - Standing upright and maybe a TMNT ADV #7 wrestling outfit

Jagwar and Dreadmon - First release in ultimate Archie/Playmates design.

Archie Slash

Necessary accessories of course for all these

* Man Ray in respect of creator Ryan Brown, name was an artist name like the Turtles, Ray Fillet was a marketing choice.

The TMNT Ultimates are updates of the classic TMNT action figures from the late 1980s into the 1990s. Sadly, we will have to wait for a different toy company to make Archie TMNT Adventures characters. Slash, Mondo Gecko, Ray Filet, Leatherface, Wingnut and Screwloose are all possibilities. I hope the mini figures like Screwloose are painted this time around.

There is a possibility S7 will do other parts of the franchise of the initial 5 waves are popular enough.

MOTUC started as doing the vintage toyline roster and we got cartoons, mini-comic, POP and NA figures as well as unreleased characters and fan-made characters.
