Sometime last year, some folks got upset on Twitter over a panel that starting makings rounds of idw April’s “butch” haircut which Campbell introduced, even though that issue had been out for several years already and April’s hair had long since grown back long in the current issues. Yeah I don't think anything too weird was done with April in IDW. She hasn't discovered she's gay or that she always wanted to be born a man.... yet.

The only thing I remember about IDW April people brought up is how she named the Turtles instead of Splinter. But it makes sense in this version since the Turtles had human Japanese names from Splinter so it wouldn't make sense for him to name them after Renaissance painters in this version.

Actually my join date is in 2013, and I lurked here even earlier. I don't like posting here much because of the awful gatekeeping attitudes, sexism, racism and bigotry that I constantly see. It's gross. I mostly only visit here to see some of the latest tmnt toy spottings, or find comic info. Truth be told, I was sent here as a "plant" many years ago, by my masters at Viacom. I worked hard to boost confidence in the TMNT Chia-Pet line.

Yet, the warmness and generosity of the technodrome community...it changed me. Now I work covert to expose any other plants who may try to breach our safe-space.
