I've bought Region 1 DVDs from amazon.com before but not sure if there are any viewing laws for shows that haven't been aired yet. I think they tell you if there is something they can't ship to you.

I'm still waiting for the complete season 4 DVD set to come out. At this rate season 5 will be finished before it does.

It's really weird they're allowing eps to be released on DVD before they air on TV, usually companies prevent this from happening as it hurts ratings from airdates. This is the second time this season this has happened though.

Since this series is ending, they probably don't care about ratings anymore for this show. I'm inclined to believe they stopped caring halfway through with the long hiatus between episodes and changing time slots, not showing reruns, and not promoting it well enough. Same thing will likely happen for the new show. They'll be all excited about it and promote the hell out of it and then after they get tired of it, it won't be treated so we'll.

It's a disrespectful way to treat the fans.

Do you really expect anything less from Nickelodeon? They are already number one in the consistent release department. #sarcasm

They've been doing it since early season 1 though... when they came back from the first hiatus it was on only every other week for a while. And they've basically never shown reruns except for on Nicktoons.

It's been said before, the hiatuses have plagued the show from the start, it's hardly a new thing. However, yes, they probably don't care about the ratings anymore, eleven more episodes and that's it. If they were to air these without hiatuses the show would be over in less than three months.

The thing is this is common for all cartoons. Look at the way Cartoon Network handled Young Justice, or Justice League Action, or the way Nick had the last season of Legend of Korra aired online only instead of on TV.

If something isn't a big hit like Spongebob or Teen Titans Go, it's usually treated poorly by the networks.

From the looks of these, it honestly feels like the original Frankenstein movie starring Boris Karloff but animated. Looks nice, but personally, I don't care for the arc at all. Nothing against the classic movie monsters as I'm a sucker for them, but it just doesn't do much for me.

There has been some "Same as it never was" References peppered through out the series. Do you think it's possible the future verse of the Turtles will be the same way.

The most prominent is Mikey getting his left arm injured or nearly lost.
An obvious reference to Mikey losing his left arm.

Raph getting venom spit into his eye.
Raph is often seen with a missing left eye in the future.

Leo was hit by blinding powder when he first meets Karai
in Same as it Never Was, Leo is completely blind.

And Donnie has been killed off temporarily in the show and in some battles has been the first Turtle taken out.

In Same as it Never Was Donnie's fate is vague it's just implied that he's missing and it was assumed he was dead.

Perhaps in final three episodes, we do see the Turtles with aforementioned injuries. And then it's mentioned or implied Donnie had been lost to them, even if we all we see is his photo up at the shrine in the Dojo.

I think most of those are probably coincidences, because I'm not so sure the writers would put in these subtle foreshadowings for the last episodes all the way back in season 2. Mikey 'losing' his arm in the Usagi episodes might be, though I haven't seen the episode yet.

But considering how infamous SAINW is in the fandom, that I've seen, I would not be surprised one bit if the characters do end up having those injuries. I actually hope they do.
