Yeah, strangely enough I've seen people really go to bat for this scene, saying that Jon wasn't out of character because he's defied his parents before...but Jor-El had almost destroyed the world last time he met the family and there appears to be no explanation as to what happened to him at the end of "Oz Effect" (where he was whisked away by Manhattan), and how he's suddenly flying a ship into their kitchen

Jon will return, but apparently he'll be aged up. Between this and Damien possibly killing Black Mask, now is'nt the best time to be a Supersons fan.

This wasn't a bad ending, sucks that Lois and Jon decided to go gallavanting across the galaxy with a mass murderer after a few words from a panicked Jon about a future that may not come to pass if he's careful. Quite liked the lightshow vigil for Kandor though

Seems Supes is being framed for the arson attacks too
