HBO have commisoned a pilot and back-up scripts for a new sci-fi comedy series from Armando Iannucci (The Day Today, Thick of It, Veep) currently under the working title of Avenue 5

Hmm. I'm not familiar with any of the guy's other work but this sounds right up my alley.
