I'm holding out the slightest bit of hope on a further announcement of the 360 and PS3 receiving their own game, because in the nintendo power magazine, the man being interviewed was not allowed to comment on that certain game being ported to other systems. We'll see... |

Some new or different information today....
These details come from NGamer magazine… - official title is TMNT: Smash Up - dark, gritty graphics - some real-world inspired locations: Manhattan skyline, unspecified jungle arena, motel roof - defeat opponents by depleting health meter or via stage knock-out, much like the Smash Bros. series - some context-sensitive moves - no motion-controlled attacks, but there will be motion controls for other aspects - levels change as you fight, start in one location and end up in another - pizza restores health - Peter Laird (TMNT co-creator) is writing the single-player story - Mirage (comic publisher) is filling out the roster - Splinter and the Turtles are the only confirmed fighters thus far - 4-player online reconfirmed source:http://gonintendo.com/?p=70321#comments Smash-up?? lol okay whatever. ill still buy it but surely they could think of a better name than that, eh? |

Cool! New info.
Yeah, kind of an unoriginal name, but whatever. They could've called it "TMNT: Pink Pony Palace of Hugging" as long as the gameplay was good. |

Glad it finally has a name, even if it sucks.

Title sounds dumb. The rest sounds promising. I'll still be shocked if this one turns out half as enjoyable as Ghostbusters for me, but it really does seem like it at least won't be a flop this time.

I'm rather excited about it. ^^ I haven't played anything fighting based for a long time, so this game will probably fill that gap for me. XD

It could be call "TMNT: Jock Riders" and I'd still get it if it's good. What does the title matter?

Some people still judge books by their covers.

Hmm I wonder if Leatherhead and Yusagi will be playable secret characters. I wonder which version of April they will, old cartoon or movie version.

Concurred. Whilst it would be great to see old favourites from other versions of the TMNT like Bebop and Rocksteady or the Mutanimals, there is nothing wrong with an all-Mirage character game.

They seem a little thinker in the torso, new movements are obviously there, and the skin looks smoothed over in a way that looks a bit more... reptilian, I guess. |

Yeah the name kinda sucks. It sounds very 80's. I have to admit that I am a bit worried about this game because most kiddie property related video games tend to suck because the developers know they can throw something together quickly in a fancy package and it will sell like hotcakes whether it is good or not.

Those screenshots are very pleasing to see so far. I love the way the TMNT look in the new movie, so that's the best model for the game developers to go with for a TMNT fighter game.
Also, it's awesome that Splinter will finally be playable. |
