Oh wow, I loved watching this on 80s Nickelodeon as a kid. It was a fun show.
The interesting thing about 80s Nick was how the network imported shows, like Pinwheel, You Can't Do That on Television, Adventure of the Little Koala, Noozles, Mapletown, Mysterious City of Gold, Dangermouse, Count Duckula, Grimms Fairy Tale Classics (I think was the name), etc. I will always be a tad biased. 80s Nick was great, imo...but it's probably the nostalgia talking. |

News coming in from San Diego Comic Con
-There will be an all-new character, a female American agent called Jeopardy Mouse. -Lena Heady (Game of Thrones) and John Oliver have joined the voice cast -Count Duckula will appear There is also a new trailer. Not very heavy on dialog aside from the bit that spoofs "The Force Awakens" trailer, but plenty of action, and there's the new version of the iconic theme to go with it. |

This might actually be good. Also did someone say Count Duckula would be in it, I hope we will get a new Duckula series.

Nothing is ever going to take away from the two main voice actors of the original, one of which is no longer sadly with us. Having said that, Alexander Armstrong sounds like he might have filled DM's shoes quite well. Not sure about Penfold's new voice mind you. Given the age now of Edward Kelsey, I think Stephen Fry as Colonel K is a pretty good fit, especially if it's moulded on his old General Melchett character heh.
Given the original, in my mind, is one of the greatest cartoons ever, then this reboot has a lot to live up to. But I'm willing to give it a chance heh...
