There's a report stating that once Disney completes the acquisition of Fox in mid-2019, they will reportedly be releasing all future FOX films that have been completed.

Quote:
It remains to be seen when the Fox acquisition will be completed as there are many approvals still to be had, but films like Spies in Disguise (due out September 13, 2019), The Woman in the Window (set for October 4, 2019), and Death on the Nile (set for December 20, 2019, the same day as Star Wars: Episode IX) could end up being Disney releases.
Films that are in development at Fox right now might not see the light of day if they don't fit with the Disney family-friendly brand.

That part is pure speculation.

The article does bring up a good point. What if Disney leaves "Fox" as a studio entity under its umbrella (like Marvel Studios when Disney bought Marvel) to like, put out the Alien and Predator sort of movies?

This seems like a far more likely scenario. Touchstone obviously don't have the same brand name recognition as Fox, so using Fox as a new label for movies that don't fit the Disney image seems like a smart thing to do.

... Heh... Imagine the Disney logo before an Alien movie.
"People getting murder-raped by extra-terrestrial abominations, brought to you by an enchanted castle with fireworks and a song about wishing upon a star!"

I do wonder if Fox will become Disney's new "adult" imprint.

It would make a lot of sense.

Even things like Deadpool 3 could be a joint Fox/Marvel Studios thing, with no trace of Disney on the marquee.

Do main line Marvel films have the Mouse House flag on them?

Ever After is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. 'Cinderella' is one of the biggest properties of the Disney brand. With Disney acquiring Fox, they will soon be adding another film adaptation of the story to their collection. So, Disney will soon have practically all of the most popular movie versions of the story. Of course there's the 1950 animated film and its 2015 live-action adaptation, but they also have the 1997 TV film Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella with Brandy and Whitney Houston.

A deadline for EU regulators to rule on Disney's $71 billion bid for Fox assets has been set for October 19.

I know that this is only semi-related, but ...

Bryan Singer is back.

Gah! Throw him back in the pit.

And why is the first thing he wants to do a comic book movie? Egads, man, stop it.

Good for you, Bryan Singer! Somebody's in your corner...

At least it's not another X-Men movie. But what's this about him being fired from the Bohemian Rhapsody biopic?

Yeah, when it started filming it was during when all the last Singer rapey stuff was going around, so he'd miss whole days of production and show up late all the time.

Was anyone really expecting otherwise? How is this newsworthy?

Bob Iger was asked the about the future of Fox employees following Disney acquisition of the company. Here's what he had to say.

Quote:
The Fox deal has brought a lot of new people into the company. How much does the question of who will succeed you impact the discussion of how to integrate these people?

Very good question. We’re going to take the best people from both companies and that's who's going to basically be on the playing field for us. Meaning, talent will prevail. Fox Searchlight is a great example. You look at FX, NatGeo. Yeah, you’re buying libraries and brands, but you're also buying the people. I'm not going to talk about specific people right now except to say that I've met with virtually the entire senior management team at Fox and I'm not only fully engaged with them on what the possibilities for them might be but I'm excited about the prospects.

It will be nearly impossible to not wish for an X-Men cameo post-credit now.

Not saying it's likely, but the MCU has defied expectations before. Now that it's legally possible for them to do so, I'd say it's "fair game" to hope for something like this.

Still wouldn't bet my money on it.

Can you imagine hype, if something like Cyclops visor will appear in the after-credits scene?
