Mine are technically on pull via online and phone, as the comic store is about 150 miles from me, but being in the UK, my answers wouldn't have been relevant to you

Yup.

(Huh. Apparently I need at least 10 characters here before it'll let me post. What if I want to be aloof and mysterious?)

i have never been into comics before, and outside of a couple batman ones, havent read many.

but idw seems to be exactly what i want in tmnt, so i would like to start reading those... but again, unexperienced, so ive got a couple questions

1. is there any way to just purchase the comics to read online? like digital copies? i have no interest in owning or collecting them, just want to read through them

2. is it all one continuous ongoing series? i know they have like city fall and northhampton, the two that i really want to read, but where should i actually start?

3. how much could this all cost? digital, if there is, or not, about how much would it be for me to get most of idws?

I never buy anything digitally for a whole list of reasons, but I understand people use Comixology for digital comics.

Yes, there's a tight continuity going between every issue and story arc. The best place to start would be #1, but if you want to hop on closer to modern issues, the four-part "Secret History of the Foot Clan" mini-series is great and leads directly into "City Fall," which I would definitely not suggest skipping as it laid the foundation for a lot of stuff going forward to present issues.

AFAIK they cost cover price digitally, i.e. around $3.99 an issue unless you get them on sale. But again, I don't do digital.

Does anyone else hate the way Santolouco draws Mikey? I love the rest of his art, but Mikey is not growing on me.

Will IDW be collecting the Image run? If so, when will the first volume be released?

Also, has Tales of the TMNT been collected by IDW?

In regards to the Image run I don't know, but I'd imagine if the comics they're publishing continue to sell well, then we'll get them.

If you're referring to Tales of the TMNT vol 1 then, yes: http://www.amazon.com/Tales-Teenage-...es+of+the+tmnt is the link to the first collected vol.

If you're referring to Tales of the TMNT vol 2, then, not yet, but as with Image, it is possible in the future.

Good news! They have! Starting with Tales of the TMNT Volume 3:

Volume 4 is already out and Volume 5 will be released this Wednesday.

Well, that's awesome! I guess I didn't pay much attention to it since I have the whole run for vol 2. Do you know if they'll be collecting issue #71? I'm not holding my breath since it wasn't published through Mirage.

No clue, I'm afraid.

There shouldn't by any rights or licensing issues with "The Paradox of Chudnovsky" since that one was made by Mirage but never published (in English). So it's likely available in the catalog for IDW to reprint, but probably very low on the totem pole.
