That's interesting considering, there was a deleted scene from Terminator 3, that explain why the T800 looks like Arnold.

The T800 was modeled after a Soldier.

Ah, good. This is really the only thing they should be doing with Arnold in a Terminator movie at this point. Give it an R-rating and make sure Cameron is very hands-on and it should be fine.

And no, the Sergeant Candy thing is a deleted scene and such, not canonical.

I had never seen that deleted scene. It was pretty good. I wish they left it in.

Wonder if they'd reveal the human origin for the T1000 and TX.

I know it's supposed to be a reboot but are going to ignore the first 3? I'd prefer they don't.

I keep saying this, and I hope it happens: A Terminator "Dirty Dozen" movie, with Arnold, Kristanna Loken, Robert Patrick, maybe even Franko Columbu all buddies on a mission together from TechCOM in the Future War (say, 2028 ) to infiltrate and take out SkyNET... one by one they're taken. They accomplish some big game-changing thing, but they still all sacrifice themselves... and their likenesses get stolen in the process.

That would be a cool origin for thier likenesses being used.

I never really thought much of it. I just imagined Skynet used whoever it wanted or maybe just made its own avatars. (No pun intended)

Not that it would actually matter in the present - uh past, since they're basically unstoppable.

There they go again, talking about the "new Terminator trilogy."

What is the matter with people?

This is the Hollywood age of "counting your chickens before they hatch."

Or, "counting your xenomorph facehuggers before they hatch", as the case may be.

We all know what "planned trilogy" means. It means that they'll plan out three mediocre films that have an "EPIC!" overarching story.

Linda Hamilton Set to Return to 'Terminator' Franchise

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hea...nchise-1040948

Some story details:

Quote:
Story details are, of course, being kept on a secure hard drive at Cyberdyne Systems, but Cameron and Miller are treating the new movie as a direct sequel to Cameron's Judgment Day. And the themes of the potential evils of technology will once again be at the fore.

But the new movie will also be seen as a passing of the baton to a new generation of characters.

"We’re starting a search for an 18-something woman to be the new centerpiece of the new story," Cameron said. "We still fold time. We will have characters from the future and the present. There will be mostly new characters but we'll have Arnold and Linda’s characters to anchor it."

I personally view all the movies as separate timelines caused by continued use of time travel. Each one being another attempt at stopping Skynet. Except maybe Salvation...it could be prequel or sequel.

So whatever they want to ignore is fine with me. I've liked all of them. I just hope it eventually gets to the actual future war again.

I can't believe we're going to have a trilogy of failed trilogies.

I had this idea that I thought would be really funny. What if the terminator won and actually succeeded killing John Connor? What would it do after completing its mission?

It was 1984. Would he get a job as a body guard or something?
Yes , hed be HBKs body guard (hint hint)

Well at least they can see it went downhill after T2 so I like the time point they are going from... but not so much the timing of it (bit late), or that they want a trilogy.

After Genisys, they can kind of do whatever they want, really. Genisys introduces the idea that SkyNET is able to talk to itself through time (an idea actually introduced in T3, where the T-X -- who is from 2032 -- uploads a bunch of data into SkyNET in the year 2004), continually making new countermeasures through Time to ensure Judgement Day.

Though after Genisys I'm not sure if they're going to want to get into any kind of great big time travel romp with alternate/intersecting timelines or anything. I think what we'll get will be fairly simple.

Where is this idea coming from?

There is noting in the movie that suggests it.

What do you mean? We literally see the T-X go up to the SkyNET computers and do her finger-morphy USB thing into them. You think she was just telling SkyNET "hello"? And we know she came from 2032 because that's what we're told and that's when John Connor is killed by the T-850 that gets reprogrammed and sent back to T3's present.

The idea is continued into Salvation, where SkyNET's cyborg advancements are way ahead of when they happened in the original timeline.

When?

She contacted Internet in the begining via "modem" (lol) and later used nanobots to control cars and later T1. What it has to do with Skynet?

Skynet already ran rampant even before TX arrival.
