Well... if you believe Wikipedia:
Quote:
The episodes "Once Upon a Time Machine" and the 1991 prime-time special "Planet of the Turtleoids" continue to not be a part of any season set to date. Lionsgate claims that they are having difficulty in locating the master tapes for the missing episodes, which could be causing a delay with the distribution of the remaining episodes
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenage...9#DVD_releases
Notice the lack of citation on that claim?

I'm normally a defender of wikipedia but there is no citation and when it comes to stuff like franchises with fandoms, no citation is usually false. I mean news like that would have been posted on the drome if it was real.

Especially since the rest look almost VHS-esque, I'm sure they have at least the original VHS releases. heck, I think I remember hearing people say they sent their VHS copies to LG, you know...so they'd have something.

Well I'm going to go out on a limb and guess VHS rips of the three missing episodes are already online, I think this statement is true right? And not some bad quality with foreign subtitles like Seasons 9 and 10? heh. I'm ok with that.

That's the only way I ever saw it until I downloaded it a decade ago.

Not in America. But, USA Network once played it in one of their slots of two back-to-back TMNT eps, the only non-syndicated ep I'd ever seen on there.

I can live with VHS quality rips counting the DVDs pretty much felt like slightly higher than VHS quality, especially since they kept cramming 13/12 episodes per disc.
Assume much?

I don't discount anything being possible if a company thinks it can make money and really what a great deal for them. Release those episodes separately later as the "lost episodes" and change another $15/$16 bucks for the DVD.

When do you guys think Season 10 could hit? I think the earliest could be December, but I think we could be looking at another year long wait.

The Lionsgate releases for TMNT have always been all over the place. I figure Lionsgate is also wanting to release the last two seasons and make some money off it before they dust it off.

I don't think it'll be this year. Season 10 may be out early to mid 2012....maybe.

If I remember Season 7 came out in like March or April, and then Season 8 came out the same year in September.

I agree though 2012 is possible. I think Lionsgate should release the final season right as the Nick advertisement for the new show heats up, so they can piggyback off any early success of the TMNT revival.

I'm fine with that. Probably another August release.

Its hard to believe the TMNT DVDs started back in 2004, and by 2012 we could have the entire series bar two episodes.

Search my post history, I always stated the episodes would eventually come out, at first I thought it was just a big break which is what it was, as the "break" got bigger I speculated that Lionsgate would go ahead and wait to cash-in with the new show. Counting recently TMNT got a ton of press for the Nick show, it seems I was right and Lionsgate is cashing in on that. A little earlier than I expected but I was right all along.

As for the lost episodes it seems that Lionsgate just doesn't know they skipped them, they didn't do it on purpose. A dromer actually posted the evidence that from S1-4 they used the official sites episode guide and for S5+ they used some other episode guide and because of that we got one episode released twice and three skipped. Again Lionsgate has the series, they have always tried to cash-in on the franchise rather than actually give it the respect it needs. Once they finish releasing the series you can bet they'll re-release it again as a complete series or just in another way and through itunes or DD, and no matter what episode guide they use they won't skip episodes. The franchise is going to be pretty damn big once Nick re-launches it and you can bet they are going to cash in on it. There is a reason we had 2k3 artwork done OT style as covers and later done 2k7 movie style, and that the DVD releases started getting more consistent around the time of the new movie along with complete season sets $$$$.
