Well it looks like we got an Archie character this week (Armaggon). So, yeah I guess they might be in the mix after all.

My issue with Marbles is that she clashed horribly with the OT when it came to direction and tone. Of course, every 80's-early 90s cartoon did a detective episode or two (bonus points if Sherlock / Watson are involved, which they did in Season 7) but her detective work didn't function when the culprit is revealed early and it's straightforward (and convenient) collect the clues. To top things off, Rob Paulsen's Raph did not get a single opportunity to shine. If you're going to have a Christie expy, then try to pull something unique that fits the TMNT world. That's actually easier to do in Nick, since the Turtles and their problems are relatively hidden - contrasted with OT, where they were in the open. This was the cartoon where schoolkids were allowed in the Turtlecave, after all. A Christie expy works better* if she's trying to solve some case that involves Leatherhead / Mutanimals**. and the Turtles get involved. Yea, I realize Marbles is a huge long shot (she's both unpopular and a character with a history of bad appearances) but I could see a detective character working in Nick still. *This scenario could happen as either a debut episode or 2nd / 3rd. The detective could also be an antagonist - antagonist doesn't have to be a villain, after all. **Important caveat: the clues need to be multi-ended for it to work story wise and build tension. As for Savage? I'm with the camp that says "more human antagonists are needed in Nick". Aside from Hun (who's appeared... once? twice?) there ain't a lot. As long as Savage has something going for him I won't mind. |

I really want the Neutrinos! I'll take a mix between the cool laid back 87 cartoon versions, and the IDW soldier versions. Stylish, sophisticated Captain America-like heroes.

You know, if Dregg can come back, pretty much anyone can. That includes that tourist alien family, Mr. Ogg, Dragon Lord, or even Gridlock!

Actually, Grid-lock might be owned by whoever was in power at The Regional Transportation District.
