Playmates: Usagi Design Sheet & Test Shot Pics!!
In addition to Gen, we also got the design sketches for the Rabbit Bodyguard himself. Here he is, ladies and gentlemen. I really like the look for him so far. I would have preferred that both of his feet were flat on the surface. A more neutral pose might have been a better choice, instead of sculpting him posed on the toes of his left foot. But regardless of that, I'm really looking forward to Usagi. Hopefully we'll see even more characters from Usagi's world in the toon and toys. Maybe Laird will even allow them to use Ninjara as a native from Usagi's world.

Whoa.. Must say I wasn't too impressed with the first shots of this figure, but man, this looks terrific.

I really don't like the spring action feature in Usagi... but at least it's button activated unlike Casey Jones.

Uh, why is Usagi called Miyamoto Usagi in the design sheet? I suppose they could've changed his name for his appearance in the new series, but I see no logic in that at all.

Miyamoto IS his name. He's named after the great legendary swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi, a real life samurai from back in the day who wrote the Book of 5 Rings.

I will definitely buy Usagi when it's released. I have the original one from the 80s, with all the weapons.

BOTH the old ones? Um, I think I have the first one. What does the second release look like? I may have seen it before.

Oh, I remember now.
No, I don't have the Space Usagi. I thought it was ridiculous.
