Yeah, the "a" and "b" of a number should technically be together as a half hour block, but they so far they seem to be choosing to just throw them in the schedule haphazardly.
I suppose that doesn't really matter since it doesn't seem like the two will hardly ever be connected, though it may make it kind of a pain imo to try to keep tabs on what has been seen or not. Quote:
So I guess it's taking next week off before coming back with that one...? |

After watching all episodes that have aired so far we can agree that ti is the WORST TMNT series ever. All it is is turtles fighting mutants but it has nothing to do with me and foot ninjas purple dragons Hun Utroms stocknan Rocksteady Bebop Triceratons. It seems like some of the 1987 series episodes where the villians were some random mutants or mad scientists. But the difference is that it is only that and nothing more!

Come now, they do more than fight mutants. They do other things like... fight Chuck E Cheese knockoff robots, random crap when Splinter is sick, and suckle puppies with weird bottle vests (seriously, scarred for life).
No Foot? Then what were the guys that steal paper? And... why do they have fire on their heads? |

The amount of people I see online and elsewhere praise this series on the grounds of, "It's goofy and stupid like TMNT is supposed to be is extremely disheartening.
Just sayin'.

Most people this day and age are vastly uninformed and too dimwitted and lazy to do their own research. It's quite frightening.

If you want a serious incarnation of TMNT currently being made then why not just read IDW instead of complaining about a fun, lighthearted show that isn’t trying to be anything it isn’t?

I back what you're saying 100%, but at this point it's futile. People around here can't help but latching on to things they hate, for some reason.

I personally love the show so far. The art style and funky characters are awesome imo. I think its formula is pretty apparent. Action oriented with the right amount of zaniness.

People seem to be heavily obsessed with Rise!Donnie. I don't know why, though.

It should had been based on the IDW comics(on the issues that are released until now). A show like that would had been much better.

It might come as a huge surprise to a few of you, but not all people are big comic readers and are more into animated series.

yep.
most comics are convoluted messes with no real end goal. IDW feels more like a TV show in how it reads.

I would like to see the IDW comic adapted into a cartoon, or at least a series of short animated movies. But they probably won't do it until it ends, and even then it's not very likely.

Beggars can't be choosers. Put aside the "reading is hard" mentality. Jesus, the only difference between an animated show and the IDW comic is that one lacks voice acting.

I won't speak for anyone else, but some of us also have to prioritize where our budget goes, as comics have become needlessly expensive in the past decade or so. I love comics - my own collection is presently about 30 long boxes deep - but I can't collect like I used to. And frankly, if I can't consistently make room in the budget for Superman and Batman, there's no way I'm doing so for TMNT. There's about a dozen other books I'd be getting first, were I collecting regularly again.
Also, not for nothin', but I've got a big chunk of the early IDW TMNT, and what I've read of it was "Fine but nothing magical." I kinda feel like Andrew's description of it is accurate; "TMNT Jambalaya" with a twist of trying a bit too hard. So that's where I'm at. Less, "Reading is hard" and more "There's other things I'd rather spend my money on." I'm sure plenty of others feel similar, but they can speak for themselves.

After watching the first ten episodes, I have to say I'm enjoying the show more than I thought I would after seeing the first episode. It really had to grow on me and I still don't love it by any means, but I like it for what it is. It definitely has issues, though.
I still look forward to every episode, and hopefully things will get into more familiar territory as the series goes along. I'm already seeing lots of signs of Leo becoming a leader at some point. That's nice to see. Also, at least one episode has referred to things in a past episode, so there does seem to be a slight bit of continuity. I sure hope this continues. Another REALLY nice thing is Leo doesn't seem to drop one-liners every five seconds anymore. Thank GOODNESS!! |
