The foot did divide into several factions during city at war, not just everyone against the elite. This looks more like the gang war arch that happened in tales and took place right after. But shredder will probably be alive during this.

I wonder how far they'll go with the killing and/or blood in this. Knowing Nick and IDW they can't go as far as say Bodycount, but I wonder if Kevin will be allowed to do City at War type of violence.

Will there be multiple covers for this? I saw on a website that was selling a preorder for a 1:25 variant. man... I don't like variants...

The variant cover for this is a 25 copy Retailer Incentive which was solicited as an “Eastman Layout blueprint edition."

Kevin is writing and drawing it? I thought Bobby said Tom would be doing the script?

I couldn't help but notice that! One of his favorites out of three.

You are a funny dude, Kevin. Still, it's hard not to love the guy.

That is very cool. This is probably one of the last comics that will ever be done on this type of paper.

I think he did the story, but Tom wrote out the actual script/dialogue.

Kevin definitely seems to be the more PR friendly out of the two. Who knows what it really means... but I like that he is genuinely positive and optimistic in general!

This is accurate, though it goes through another filter of Kevin at the end. As opposed to the ongoing, which is pretty much how Kevin described it in the article: Kevin and Tom talk general story, several arcs ahead of time, and then Kevin looks at the final script when the time comes, with maybe a small tweak or so.

Annual story is all Kevin!

Yes! Now i am doubly stoked for this book. I cant wait. Kevin working solo on art and story, duotones used, excellent cover art, double sized book, i am ready for october. Definitely picking this up for sure.

side note: regarding his last sentence about the movie... Im glad he recognizes that the source material is important to the fans. Still... Not so sure about this movie though.

Very much looking forward to this. Hopefully it won't let me down, I've not been to thrilled with a lot of Kevin's artwork lately.

Since Kevin keeps calling this a Raph/Casey story, are the other Turtles going to get a big role in this or are they just going to be kept in the sidelines? The cover gives me the impression they're going to be in the fights too...hopefully.

This is the only real new news to arrive about the Kevin annual for about 6 months now.

It's virtually impossible that I won't love every panel of this thing but personally -- even as huge of a duotone fan as I am -- I was kind of looking forward to seeing what straight-up Kevin Eastman pencilled/inked art would look like in a full-length comic accompanied by cutting edge digital coloring. But ah well, this is a minor quibble.
