The Rocky timeline has always been tenuous. Some examples... Micky saying he's 80 years old in like part 1, yet his gravestone saying otherwise. The talk of Apollo being retired for 5 years but Rocky being married for 9 in Rocky IV, yet both of those events happening in the same movie (II).

Stallone wants to do Rocky 7 where Rocky trains an illegal immigrant (perhaps to offset reactions to Rambo 5 where he blows away a whole cartel?), also a Rocky prequel series.

Eh... I dunno.

Why? He's got such a good thing going with Creed. That really revitalized. To me, anyway. I think Michael B. Jordan acted the hell out of that role.

Given recent interviews it sounds political... possibly ego-driven. He is butt-hurt that he has no actual rights to Rocky... and now Creed is the main thing with the only "main event" left to happen is Rocky's death... in someone else's series. Basically.

Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll get in the ring one more time. With a walker and an oxygen tank in the corner.

They can change the lyrics to "Gonna Die Now"

Rocky had nothing left to prove after IV. After that it was train this person or that person. No one else is left to kill outside of Robert. Spider Rico a side character got his sendoff in a deleted scene.

I've read this interview in print but not seen this video. Look at him when he says he's done with Creed. Yeah, something happened there for sure, on part 2.

As a fan of the film series I collect a few Rocky items from the Gamecube game to a hoodie I love to wear and a figure not to mention every film. So I found out that Rocky and the first three opponents had Funko Pops made of the characters back in 2013 beforeFunko Pops took off. So I of course have to own a Rocky, but apparently it is out of primary market circulation and cost $300. Wow! I would like to drop a zero on the price tag and own one.Anyone own one? Anyone can direct me to how to get one without paying a ridiculous price?

What went wrong with Creed? I thought the movies were successful?

Nothing went wrong with The Creed series. they were both successful. Nothing really more to explore with Adonis's story. Doing the whole thing with Drago was a perfect way to end Adonis's Story. Also ended Rocky's Story too at the end of Creed 2

Well, it's not ending. They've reiterated time and again Creed 3 is going to happen. Though where Stallone fits into it -- or doesn't -- is where it gets pretty murky. Something happened with him on Creed 2 he isn't talking about.

Mostly stuff we already know. Stallone probably won't be in Creed 3 (which is moving along now) and he's still thinking about Rocky 7.

Where can Rocky go for VII? Isn't his arc basically finished with Rocky VI and even the first Creed? How will they explain Rocky not in Creed III?

Odd.

Part of me suspects this will be remedied in pre-production. i.e., Michael B. Jordan and all will find a way to woo him back. But maybe not. If not, then it's just "Rocky's doing his thing... I'm doing mine, now."

Brand new:

Stallone working on a director's cut of Rocky IV.

This is really old and maybe a lot of you have seen this... but I never have. It's interesting. His post-Rocky 4 (this is a post-Rocky 4 interview) stance on things is surprising to me.

And that would make perfectly sense.

Stallone wants to do a Rocky prequel series for streaming

Quote:
"I started out this morning by writing a treatment for a Rocky prequel For streaming. Ideally 10 episodes for a few seasons to really get to the heart of the Characters in there [sic] younger years." He also included pictures of two handwritten pages titled “Treatment for Rocky prequel series.”

“Imagine a time machine that will simply transport us back to the origins of Rocky,” Stallone wrote in surprisingly neat cursive, "a cinematic world brimming with characters that have been beloved by people around the world for nearly five decades!"

I am trying to put together a Rocky soundtrack for workouts. I lean more of the rock sound of the third and fourth installment and dislike the hip-hop rap vibe that Rocky V started and Creed ran with. Anyway, looking for sound bites that are Rocky-esque whether it was in a Rocky film or not. This is what I have comprised so far:
Eye of The Tiger
Hearts on Fire
No Easy Way Out
War
Going To Fly Now
Mickey
Measure of a Man
Thunder in Your Heart
Training Montage
Burning Heart
Final Countdown
Streets of Philadelphia
Real American
Enter: The Sandman

What else should I add to get me pumped to take on a steroid monster?
