I think I am probably one of the last ones in line, and he told me as of then it would be a couple of weeks....so I would think the first few should be back soon

Yep, me neither. I was thinking of emailing him again, but I'm assuming he got bombarded with requests early, and stopped at a certain point. Sucks, because after all the hoopla, I really wanted one, but looks kind of bleak now. Hope to see some artwork in here soon, though.

Not sure if ya'll follow him on Facebook, but he just posted this late Sunday night,

"Hi. I'll be sending out 6 or 7 drawings this week. I'm still doing new drawings so stand by."

I assume he prob isn't taking anymore requests, but for those who've submitted just an update for ya.

Hmm, I didn't see that. I got an email from him Friday saying he is moving through the sketches and he will be in touch soon.

Not for nothin', but you asked him to draw a HUGE scene... Not only that but it was based out of the OT. C'mon bro. Doubt he'd ever touch that.

But but... I didn't get a response either and I asked for something pretty simple

Yeah but a simple "no I can't or won't" would've been nice

Craig's quirky, it's nothing against you. Besides, the man no doubt got a lot of messages across FB and his email, so prioritizing messages and simply forgetting is also very easy to do.

This, but also, speaking as a guy who takes commissions a lot, sometimes it's just easier. Saying no can often turn into a verbal goosechase, the person grabbing at straws to remove/change as few elements as they can to keep the same sort of commission, trying to work out something similar, becoming frustrated with your desire not to do certain things, depending on the person it can be a real hassle.

I seem to be one of the last onec on here he accepted. I told him he could draw whatever he wanted as long as it involved a turtle in an awesome pose.....yes that was exact wording, and I got a reply very quickly.

I totally agree. Commissions are best when the customer keeps it simple. For example: Leo in the city, raph vs foot, mikey's on rooftop, or splinter at Christmas. It gives the buyer what they essentially want, yet leaves a ton of room for the artist to have fun. The worst is when a customer doesn't understand the concept of creative licence. It gets ridiculouse when customers start nit picking things like, I think I'd prefer the rock to be on the right side instead of the left or they ask you to add more grass in the field, then later say there's now too much grass in the field.

I gave him pretty simple direction. I want all 4 turtles drawing their 4 renaissance namesakes, and the renaissance artists drawing the entire Mirage staff. He seemed pretty receptive. HAHAHAHAHA

No, I just asked for one sketch of Leo, and one sketch of whatever of the following 3 characters he was in the mood to draw (Leo, Shredder or a Triceraton). The best part is I have no idea what he's going to do for the second one. I'm so excited for it to arrive!!!

My request was just Michaelangelo with $X worth of size/detail (I went higher than the $40 option).
