Gummy peach rings...with chili lime flavoring. And it is an...interesting flavor combo. Not entirely sure how I feel about it. I feel like a company just accidentally made these and decided to sell it, but apparently it's a company that hails from Mexico.
Well, they're better than the gummies with "tangerine" that tasted like shoe rubber. lol |

Leftover Chinese from yesterday... but I have never in my life seen anyone use gelatin in the red sauce!
 The heck is this? Anyone heard of that before?I microwaved it for just a short time to take the chill off, then when I went to dip my chicken in it and it wouldn't dip and the sauce put up some resistance I was mighty confused. lol That explains why the sauce was quite hot when we got it, hotter than normal... It's a well known fact that all Americans love chinese food. I usually get it once a week for dinner usually on weekends.
Most of the time Chicken and Broccoli, fried rice, dumplings, won ton soup. Other times spare ribs, General Tso's, Sesame chicken, or Lo Mein. Obviously there's so many different things to get you can order something new every day if you want and get a different meal. |

What I generally get for my main thing is two large orders of that soup with all the chicken, beef, shrimp, vegetables etc. in it - around here it's called something different everywhere you go, generally either "House Special" or "Subgum" soup most of the time - and I get sixteen wontons to go with it. Each container is enough for two bowls, with four wontons per bowl. I am VERY particular about this. I'll also have one shrimp egg roll with each container of soup. That'll be my dinner.
We tend to order a lot of food all at once rather than make multiple trips on separate days, so I'll usually also get a Sweet & Sour Chicken combination plate with pork fried rice (with egg roll), and that'll be breakfast the next morning. I like to put a little duck and soy sauce on the rice, but it usually doesn't need it. If I have no plans and don't mind feeling bloated for a few days, I may also get an order of friend chicken wings and beef sticks. My wife and I usually spend about $60-70 for just the two of us when we get Chinese, and most of it's on me.  She usually just gets the Sweet & Sour Chicken plate, a large wonton soup and an egg roll. Sometimes crab sticks if they have 'em. Jesus, now I gotta get some. Maybe Monday, I got sh*t to do this weekend.

Store brand "drumstick" ice cream cone...with peanut butter.
With the excuse to enjoy ice cream a bit more, a reason to buy the sharpest awesome cheddar I can find more often -- good god my Walmart actually had the BIG bar of the red label Cabot seriously sharp and "splurged" on that -- and getting myself to be more of a yogurt eater... I've really found it helps the acid issues I was having and the last bottle of Tums I bought has sat untouched for a while.

Trying to see what might be the nearest thing to the flavor of the discontinued Cheese Nips. These aren't it. However... not bad. You know when cheese is a bit overcooked in the oven and delicious? These kind of capture that flavor. |
