Ebay, man. I managed to snag one for a fair price a few months ago, as you saw on FB.

i've had a few whales over the years and i always seem to luck out and track them down or someone helps me out and finds it for me. the turtle Tank was probably the first big one as it was the item i wanted as a kid but never had. next it was the giant figures but i got them all and most are complete.

funny enough i'de have to say now its the duel'n dudes that i'm been looking for mostly now. not the rarest of items but timing has never worked out where i have found one for the price i wanted and when i had the funds to purchase it.

Dooo eeeet. I committed to one despite not being in the best of places financially, but it was totally worth it. It can transform, it comes with a mini-manga, a purple translucent ooze canister, it's cool all around!

Because if you're gonna dream, then dream big.

Realistically - an original Kevin Eastman sketch to hang on the wall along my Peter Laird and Jim Lawson ones. (And a piece of original art from the Mirage run would be incredible, but... that's not quite as realistic.)

Lucky! My comic shop had those for quite a while at a pretty standard price, and I kept telling myself I didn't need them (I already had the colour ones) until they sold. Kicking myself now. I've passed over so many things that wound up being pretty rare and valuable because I couldn't justify the purchase at the time.

I concur with you. I've never seen one in the box. Wait, was it boxed?

I would assume it was shipped the same way the football was, with a band of plastic around it to hold the label in place.

For me, it would be:

1988 Leonardo MOC
1988 Rocksteady MOC
1991 Movie Star Raph MOC
1991 Movie Star Don MOC

Often try to score these guys on Ebay, and ALWAYS get outbid/sniped on them. Every. Time.

I too would go with the arcade cabinet, pinball machine, or that little ride in Party Wagon.

With 3 of the turtles already in my collection, the Playmates Cold Cast Donatello is the one I'm missing the most right now.

In the world of dreams, yes, the arcade cabinet or the original mask worn by Elias Koteas in the 1990 movie.

I would like to find the Toon Shredder from the Toon Turtles toy line. The original Shredder action figure sculpt with cartoon accurate colors sounds awesome.

I used to own that arcade machine, they didn't cost that much, but I guess that was about 15 years ago, so I don't know if the price has gone up. I had to sell it when I moved. Maybe I look some pics up.

The Movie Star figures are from 1992. I can still see them in the display window of Thriftway Drugs. Those were very different times from now.

According to the packaging on my Movie Star Leo and Movie Star Mike, the print date is 1991. However, they were still sold in 1992 and eventually the packaging changed with the later releases. It seems that both the dates '91 or '92 can be found on the 1st issue packages of the Movie Star Turtles.

By the way, I managed to finally catch one of the white whales I was after, check it out:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271747020895...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Now my collection of the original 4 is complete!

Most action figures released at the start of 1992 had a 1991 print date stamped somewhere on the figure or card.

You are correct, Playmates changed the print date before these were shipped out with the Merdude wave.

Congratulations on your find!
