Why are socks so expensive?
Prior to last Christmas I'd saved a pair on Amazon in my 'gift ideas' list. Still I can't find them cheaper elsewhere. Cute zombie socks that I'd like to get my sister, but $14 for a single pair?? I don't think so. (Lord knows it wouldn't take her long to lose one anyhow.) Spoiler:

I just realized that since Krang doesn't seem to have any biological heirs in IDW, there might be a lot more internal power struggles on Burnow than just Ma'riell taking over in his stead without Ch'rell's consultation...

how come people who claim to be happy and supportive tend to be the most violent in their insults?
especially around here if you bring up a topic they don't like? |

Because people are douches and if you don't believe what they believe and conform to their way of thinking, you're automatically labeled as horrible. But in reality, THEY are the ones who are horrible.

Not logged my email in a while... Hm, lets see how many new ones there are (and probably all junk).
*Guesses at random... 56* Yup. Exactly. Now if I could only accurately guess the lottery. -------------------- Also... I swear someone in some office in some other state who inputs the sign info for my (and all other) store(s) has NO idea what they're doing half of the time. Not the first time I've gotten a whole bunch like this. (Or other stupid wasted ones.) This one is not from today, but from another recent Sunday. Spoiler:
Bad thing is, I can't just throw them out. I have to put everything else up for a department so then I can waste a bunch of time scanning far too many of these as "not needed." Like it doesn't all take long enough already when I don't have to deal with this kind of nonsense. Not to mention a waste of resources. And battery power on the thing I use to scan them; you're lucky if the battery even lasts long enough to finish. Although I admit the "$0 OFF" ones have made me laugh when they show up on occasion. I've been tempted to just put them up as a joke. Last edited by IndigoErth; 09-24-2017 at 06:43 PM. |

Well, I didn't think about how hard typing would get with dipped nails...having to re-learn a lot of things. There's just enough length that some things are difficult

I feel like one day we're going to wake up and read 'Cube had a heart attack after getting so stressed out on what he perceived as reading idiotic drome posts'...

They took out two of the register counters upstairs at work. Been talking about it for a few months and finally did it. (Keeping just one for holiday use.) And the amount of crud under there... A manager picked up an old plastic coupon card... Good until sometime in Nov. 2006. Only been laying under there for 11 years. Said he was going to give it to another manager. Nice gift, but a little late.

I've got a huge collection of his films myself. They're all consistently good. & I like how each decade of 'em has its own style. In the 70's he did a lot of traditional kung-fu, avenging masters in sandy plains using techniques with animal namesakes, in the 80's there was a lot of urban sportiness & police drama, then the 90's brought on the more comedic international-travel exploit stuff. Now he does mostly serious parts, which while less action oriented, are still great. Can't wait to peep The Foreigner, looks really intense. Jackie Chan Adventures, the cartoon inspired by his work, also kicked ass. His musical albums are good too!
I wish a new TMNT movie would take notes from him, in terms of fight choreography, stunts, & the style of comedy.

An overlooked gem of his from 2006, Robin-B-Hood where Jackie and one of his partners have to look after a baby while it's also a regular action movie is great:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0485976/ It's one of those "later" Jackie Chan movies nobody talks about much, it was never officially released in the U.S. in theaters or dubbed so it's somewhat obscure. Really fun comedic movie of watching Jackie who plays a thief in the movie desperately try to care for a baby and keep it safe. |

I wonder if I'll ever live to be a(n) 100 year-old woman.
That would be a major accomplishment in my book. |

I have a step great grandmother that made it to 104. Too bad it's not in the genes! But it's probably a testament to country life in a small town.
